And then I looked through the list of other videos and saw: "Beach Boys: New Song and Death"...and my heart nearly stopped.

The rest of the title was "...Cab for Cutie".

Whew.

Cool stuff.  Hey I noticed that they are promoting TWGMTR as the "29th studio album".  They are obviously not counting certain albums on purpose.  Which ones do you think they are not including?

1. SS
2. SU
3. SG
4. LDC
5. SDV2
6. ASL
7. Christmas
8. Today
9. SDSN
10. Party***
11. PS
12. Smiley
13. WH
14. Friends
15. Stack o tracks***
16. 2020
17. Sunflower
18. Surf's up
19. CATPST
20. Holland
21. 15BO
22. Love You
23. MIU
24. LA
25. KTSA
26. 1985
27. Still Cruisin
28. SIP***
29. Stars & Stripes***
30. Endless Harmony
31. Ultimate Christmas
32. Hawthorne

33. Smile Sessions***
34. TWGMTR

I'm pretty sure they are counting #30-32 as compilations.  That still leaves 31.  Which 2 are they not counting?  I've put some of the possibilities in bold.  What do you think?

In the tour program, there is a collage of the albums, live and studio.  Smile Sessions is included, but not SIP or S&S.  But on another page, S&S appears.  No mention of SIP anywhere.

Party! was very successful, they're definitely counting that one. Stack-O-Tracks was deleted from the catalogue for quite a period of time, maybe they're leaving it out. Summer in Paradise doesn't appear at the reunion concert slideshows, as far as I know, and nobody really likes to talk about it, so.. guess they're leaving that one out. Stars & Stripes, who knows.. maybe they're forgetting about that on purpose so it seems like a longer period of time since the last time Brian has recorded with the Boys? Makes the reunion more legendary, and stuff.

I've just done a run-through of how the albums are numbered on Wikipedia and it seems Stack-O-Tracks and Smile Sessions aren't counted. TWGMTR is listed as the 29th on there also so I think that works out.

Summer In Paradise is definitely one, as something was said about some kind of tour programs? Or something that didn't mention SIP anywhere. As goofy as that album is, come on - it happened, it was released, it was promoted, it exists and nothing can change that. Trying to change that by means of excluding it from your album count or discography doesn't accomplish anything except making you look kind of dumb, and I really doubt it was anyone in the band who made this decision.

Other than that, I'd say Stack-O-Tracks is the other one, as it's basically a compilation, too. That's 29.

Those videos are hilarious - Brians blank stare and looking at his watch, pretty sure Bruce and Mike have never heard of half of the bands they are mentioning. Good to see them enjoying it.

Although SIP is not mentioned in the Tour Program, it IS listed in the Zinepak discography.  Go figure...

Can you guys see this new video "The Beach Boys - Back In The Studio":

http://youtu.be/hgONinOJFIE (http://youtu.be/hgONinOJFIE)

There's a couple of minutes of new footage, including the guys recording vocals to "Shelter", "Isn't It Time" and, quite interestingly, about to record vocals to "She Believes in Love Again".
