Title: Beach Boys Night at Dodgers Stadium Tonight! Post by: doinnothin on May 18, 2012, 12:54:22 PM Anyone else going? I've never been to a Dodgers game and figured this was as good a reason as I was gonna get! (I was out of town when they did the National Anthem)
Beach Boys Night at Dodger Stadium on May 18 The Dodgers will dedicate the Friday May 18 game (vs. STL, 7:10 p.m.) to The Beach Boys. Prior to the start of the game on “Beach Boys Night,” the Dodgers will once again treat fans to the legendary band’s most memorable tunes as The Beach Boys’ recorded music will be played in-stadium. At the conclusion of the game, fans are invited to go onto the playing field to watch a “Friday Night Fireworks” show set to The Beach Boys’ music. Post by: doinnothin on May 19, 2012, 12:34:11 PM I got there a little late, so if they played Beach Boys songs before the game, I missed it, but I didn't hear a single reference to it all night and the Fireworks weren't set to The Beach Boys, so I guess either they forgot or cancelled it or something. :-\

Post by: Mikie on May 19, 2012, 12:53:30 PM Yeah, supposedly they were going to play recorded songs before the game and acknowledge The Beach Boys, in addition to playing their songs during the fireworks display. They're also suppose to have Beach Boys/Dodgers "co-branded" items for sale at the concessions stands.

I went to a Dodgers game in late April and did not see anything Beach Boys related at the team store. Perhaps I missed it somehow or was looking in the wrong part of the stadium, but there certainly weren't any posters or large display pieces to be found.
