Title: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: punkinhead on May 14, 2012, 11:14:39 AM I've asked a couple of times before and nobody ever responds...so those who've been lucky enough to see the guys already, what's available? :afro
Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Menace Wilson on May 14, 2012, 11:22:30 AM Several different makes of t-shirts (one has dozens of song names on it, another has the Brother Records Indan logo with a beach background, and tour dates on the back). There are women's shirts too.
Lessee, they have a big full-color tour program, baseball caps, Beach Boys hoodies, and coffee mugs if I remember correctly. Everything is outrageously priced, of course. Everything is outrageously priced, of course. Has anyone here have one? I'd like to see what it looks like and how thick it is. I'll prolly get a bro records shirt. I'm sure the album will be out on the table by the time I see em on June 16. and perhaps a vinyl edition there too? Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Save your pennies and save your dimes. A pre-signed tour book with all five Beach Boys is $100. This may be your only chance to get all 5 signatures in one place. The cover is nice and the entire thing can be placed in a LP frame. :o :spin Nice coffee mugs. $20. They sold out in Pittsburgh. I'm sure more are on order. :beer Signed Al Jardine Postcard from California CD's and signed David Marks and the Marksmen CD's are only $15 each. :rock There's a brown floppy beach hat and standard baseball caps with Beach Boys 50 on them. I believe $30 or $35. A nice Black hooded sweat shirt with the Brother 50 logo on front and back is $65. Many different T-Shirts. I liked the one with the Beach Boys name and various song titles in various lettering. I know the prices are high but this may be the last tour with all five surviving Beach Boys together. You have to take that in consideration. This may not happen again. If you can scrape the money together then enjoy it. This is not just a concert. It's an event. I'll skip other shows I may have gone to this summer just to enjoy and pick up a few things at this one. 50! :woot Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Doo Dah on May 14, 2012, 12:32:53 PM The tour program is $25, and well worth it in my opinion. Beautifully printed, full color with 'the Beach Boys' logo embossed in gold upon the Brother Records logo. A definite keepsake.
The mugs have the same logo, also $20 I believe. The shirts are nice but start at $35. Not for me. After the Benedum show I met a friendly bootlegger in the parking garage who sold me a beautiful tour shirt with the 'end of the trail' image on the front and tour dates on the back - $10. Support your hard-working friendly neighborhood bootleggers :smokin (it's awright...you've already paid a $100 plus to see the show anyways ;)) Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Menace Wilson on May 14, 2012, 12:45:14 PM There's a poster too (you can see the edges of it behind that bald guy's head). It's the same design as on the black t-shirts.
I seem to remember my tour program cost $35. Shirts were the same. I spent over a hundred bucks just on merch, but don't regret it at all. Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: jeremylr on May 14, 2012, 04:24:18 PM The tour book is just pictures -- no text. I thumbed through it on the merchandise table -- the seller didn't mind. The Walmart Zine pack is much more worthwhile for a third of the price.
Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Zach95 on May 14, 2012, 04:35:21 PM I really like that black t-shirt with the song names. I'm thinking I'll purchase that, the program, and an Al Jardine signed Postcard from California! Yeah! I better start saving...

Or the Signed program. Seems like there will be lots of people that can't make the shows that still would buy them, given the chance. Just edged out in the posting race, I see.... Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Mikie on May 14, 2012, 05:34:36 PM In June, I'll pick up a shirt with the Brother logo and city names and a signed tour program (assumimg the autographs are original and not stamped or in auto pen). Also a 50th Anniversary poster which I'll mount behind glass and frame.
Would rather pick up the program and poster at the gig rather than trust mail delivery. No telling what condition they would show up in my mailbox. Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: pixletwin on May 14, 2012, 06:55:14 PM Brother logo T shirt and program for me. I'm saving my pennies as I type.

Post by: lee on May 15, 2012, 05:10:46 AM I hope they offer the tour book on the site. It was sold out in Raleigh after the show was over so I wasn't able to get one.
Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: punkinhead on May 15, 2012, 05:27:05 AM Unsigned Tour Book $35 nice icon. Do you have that EP? I found it randomly at an antique place a couple of years ago. You know if it's worth anything?Signed Tour Book $100 and priceless I saved my pennies and I saved my dimes Photo Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Mikie on May 15, 2012, 07:01:37 AM I have one of those too. It's a 7" vinyl EP w/picture sleeve from the UK. Mona / Rock & Roll Music / Sail On Sailor / Marcella. Reprise k14481 was released in '77. Good picture - believe it was taken in the back lot of Brother Studio in Santa Monica, CA. in 1976.
Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: meltedwhiskeyinmyhand on May 15, 2012, 07:12:00 AM I intended on buying something at the Atlanta show, I was hoping that the Indian logo shirt was navy but it was black and I decided to pass.
Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: SloopJohnnyB on May 15, 2012, 07:29:39 AM I bought that back in the late 70's I think. We had a really great record store called Jim's Records here in Pittsburgh. Great import bins of 45's and LP's. U.K. imports. I like that Mona is the opening track. Four great songs. Fantastic cover photo. I don't know what it's worth.

No telling what condition they would show up in my mailbox. The autographs aren't stamped. I had the guy bring over a handful and I was able to pick the one I wanted. They were all slightly different. I noticed that they were in a separate pile. I noticed and I asked. It's the first time I bought an expensive item like this at a concert. No regrets. It could be that they ran out of them in New York. I would buy early if you want one. Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE? Post by: Mikie on May 15, 2012, 08:28:38 AM Yeah, I can tell they're original, especially after seeing the picture you posted of the book above. It's very cool that you had a pile of them to choose from! I don't know where I'd get one 'early', unless they're offered on line. If not, I hope they're available out here in Berkeley on June 1!

When the door opens and people file in go straight to the merchandise stand. Buy one before the show starts is what I meant. I would hope that the merch guys would keep things well stocked. I noticed one merch guy bring a handfull of CD's (signed by Al and Mark) in after the stand was already set up. They probably signed them after the soundcheck so they could be sold that evening. Maybe people should email the BB site to see if the programs will be offered on the website. I did the sound check thing (no meet and great offered) and I was able to access the merchandise booth before the doors opened to the general public. I think there were still autographed programs available after the show. I guess it just depends how well they keep things stocked up. Title: Re: CONCERT ATTENDERS: WHAT'S ON THE MERCH TABLE?
