Highlights for anyone who missed it :

- 16 piece band on this upcoming tour, coming from all three groups.

- Al's dad worked in Wayne County, MI and his brother was born in MI.

- Al's favorite song from his new album, "Drivin'."

- Brian recorded his parts on "Don't Fight The Sea" during the "Kokomo" era.

Not too much of an interview, and not sure if any of this stuff is already known. But it was interesting for me about the family stuff, because I'm from Michigan.

This is cool. Any guesses on who? We pretty much already know these guys:
Brian Wilson
Al Jardine
Mike Love
Bruce Johnston
John Cowsill
David Marks
Jeff Foskett

what do we know about Darian being part of the band ?

Wouldn't be surprised if Matt and Billy Hinsche would appear. Maybe Gary Griffin as well

The band announced on beachboysband.net but 'subject to change' was the five BBs plus Jeff, Cowsill, Bennett, Totten, Probyn,  Paul Mertens, Brett Michaels, Nelson Bragg and Darian. That was also the band onstage at the Grammys, and makes fourteen people. Probyn said in an interview (and I'd heard from an independent source) that Mike D'Amico and Nick Walusko would be in the touring band, so Mike's probably the second drummer Al's talking about (unless he means Nelson). That makes sixteen.

The band we see on the Do It Again video is the five BBs, Jeff, Cowsill, Scott B, Scott T, Probyn, Paul Mertens, Brett Michaels, Nick Walusko and Gary Griffin. We've also heard reports of Darian, Probyn, Paul and Nick being involved in the recording of at least some of the songs for the album.

So we can be pretty certain at this point that that's the band. I could POSSIBLY see Billy H or Gary Griffin subbing for Darian if there's a clash somewhere, but I think the line-up on the beachboysband.net site, plus Mike and Nick, is most likely. (Which is good, because that's pretty much the perfect line-up as far as I'm concerned.)

Makes sense to me. Also it's Brett Simons, not the guy from Poison.

Well they have 40 rooms blocked in hotels they are staying at. So it is entirely possible they have a 16 member backing band.

Gah. Don't know how I made that mistake, since I've never actually heard of the person from Poison...

No Stamos? Surely there's room for that side of Greek yogurt.

I would wonder who from Al’s band would be appearing on the tour. The only person we’ve seen in connection with anything remotely reunion-related would be Matt Jardine appearing in the “Don’t Fight the Sea” footage with the other BB’s. It would be cool if we saw him on the tour.

Nope. Not me. Never posted on Brian's board. I used to post on the old Male Ego board back when Dan Davidson and Mike's the Greatest used to go at it daily. I've been a long time lurker here and just registered.
