While I was looking for the "Keep it clean with Al Jardine"-picture, I came across these that imo are fascinating.

I'm thinking that's during the acapella opening to "Hushabye". The photo is from the '64 Sacramento show, and if you listen to the performance when they did that song during the show, the girls seem to go particularly nuts during that intro.

Maybe, but Al, Carl and Brian all seem to actually be playing their axes. I can't listen right now, so are there guitars and bass during the intro to "Hushabye" (live) or is it really acapella ?

I didn't know that the group featured acoustic guitar in their live performances that early in their career.

In '66 Dennis sang "You've got to hide your love away" with acoustic guitar playing by Al. Don't know which other songs featured an acoustic one.
