Title: SMiLE soundalike ... (Duncan Maitland)
Post by: Malc on March 24, 2012, 01:00:30 AM
Just came across this guy on YouTube - lovin' the sound of it. Check it out ... most of the album appears to be there

DUNCAN MAITLAND "Lullabies For The 20th Century"

Sorry, just can't get past the aggressive autotune.

It was fine, but his voice is totally unsuitable for this type of music (and as said before, heavily auto-tuned...)

Backing track was okey though.

Thanks for posting. Listened to a few tracks... this is great stuff!  "Supermarket Dream" is pretty amazing.

It sounds good, but this isn't a SMiLE soundalike. Cool stuff though!

Ram by Paul McCartney is the only album that oozes SMiLE to me.

Honestly I hear more Gilbert O'Sullivan than I do Brian Wilson.  Not a bad little tune.
