Somehow, I've managed to never see this before...

That's a good one.

The interviewer really sticks to his questions....sometimes squeezing too hard to have Brian answer the questions.  I enjoy the small part where they're looking at some of the framed records on the wall and the rough time Brian was going through at the time and he mentions how he took drugs.  He lists a few of them and then mutters..."Kinda gooped up my head a little bit.  It's okay though.  I'm alright."  Decades of torture...and then suddenly summed up with:  "I'm alright."

At the very end he is asked about having a gift from God.  Out of nowhere he just starts playing "You Still Believe In Me".

I love this guy!

Great stuff, thank you, Eric - I think there's some really good info and insights (perhaps).

I agree with Justin, the interviewer was milking it a bit, which seems to be the BW interview cliche - and had Brian up and knuckle-sandwiched him around the 6 minute mark of part 1, I would not have been suprised.

Same with part 2,  you get the feeling Brian wants to stop crapping on about the bad times and start focusing on current; I hope (in vain) the media coverage over the next year or so will be about getting on with it versus dwelling on things past.

I love when Brian takes you out back to that place by the trees. Seemed like it was a special place for him. Very peaceful.  I assume that's the house in/around Chicago that is/was on the market? I wonder what it looks like almost 15 years later.

Really need to win the lottery soon....
