Title: East Of Eden by John Steinback

East Of Eden by John Steinback

I'm almost done. Read this. It will change your life in many ways. For a section of the book it's so sorrowful that when happy parts come into light you actually feel the joy in yourself while reading. It's a fantastic book. A lot of soul searching is to be done while reading. It's kept my attention for a week up to now, and once I'm done I'll most likely read it again.

I love love LOVE John Steinbeck's writing.  Very simple, and yet deeply profound.  Universal.  Tragic.  Honest.  Comic.  Brilliant.  Is this your first Steinbeck, H&V?

I had read Mice and Men before East of Eden but it wasn't until East of Eden I really started to love Steinbeck's work. It is like a huge soap opera and the only book I really gasped at when things happened. I am now reading The Wayward Bus by him and that is also a really good book.

M&M i don't really care for...Katie, do yourself a favor - go fine The Moon is Down.  It's a short novel about World War II that will make your jaw drop.  The most awesome piece of writing EVER.

I spelled his surname incorrectly.

I just finished the book today. I've learnt a lot from reading it. Adam Trask, Lee, and Sam Hamilton are now a part of me.

She sounded do-able  :D

But really, it's interesting to realize that in the end Cathy/Kate was like anybody. Sure she had that "something" missing, but it's merely an example of any cold person as they seem and often act. At first she's described as almost a Devil amongst men.

I'd like to find my Abra in this life.  :'(

I was thinking about all the things that I'll become eligible to participate in when I turn 18 years of age. Maybe i'll go to an adult book store and quit reading these silly old philosophical novels. Time for some words detailing humpin'.
