Title: David Bowie Post by: MyGlove on March 13, 2012, 07:36:14 PM what do you think of David Bowie. I just got Ziggy Stardust and Low on CD and i'm loving them. What's your favorite? Or do you even like him?
Title: Re: David Bowie Post by: Puggal on March 13, 2012, 10:24:14 PM I love Bowie very much, despite the fact that he is a plastic sell-out.
My favorite albums would have to be: 1. Ziggy Stardust 2. Station to Station 3. Low Title: Re: David Bowie Post by: MyGlove on March 14, 2012, 07:58:37 AM I love Bowie very much, despite the fact that he is a plastic sell-out. My favorite albums would have to be: 1. I wouldn't say he's among my top absolute favourites but I respect him a lot and it's always a pleasure to watch one of his live performances. He really knows how to put on a show.
I own 'Ziggy Stardust', and it definitely is in my top 10 albums ever. 'Hunky Dory', 'Aladdin Sane' and 'Live at Santa Monica '72' are the other Bowie albums I own, and I like those too. I've always wanted to dig deeper into his stuff, I'm sure there would be tons of surprises, but never got the chance yet. That he is a foundational and seminal personality in rock hardly needs to be argued.
