This is the fire station used on the "Good Vibrations" promo film. I snapped this pic and did an overlay of the BBs: (http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/421946_2764009379539_1237016449_32241730_1929551341_n.jpg) Title: Re: Fire Station 27 in Los Angeles = \ Post by: Craig Boyd on March 11, 2012, 09:21:23 AM That's super cool! ;D

For more information, and some then-and-now comparison photos similar to the one posted in this thread, go to page 4 and 5 (and more...) on this thread: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,11011.75.html (http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,11011.75.html) And find some more info on the GV film locations on page 2 of this thread, along with other similar info and exact locations: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,5541.25.html (http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,5541.25.html) I actually took the Google Maps camera function and took a virtual tour of the area where the GV film was shot, specifically around the firehouse which is now of course the LA Firefighting Museum. I wanted to post more screen captures but the task was bigger and more time-consuming than I could spare. But with that Google technology, you can try the same thing: pinpoint the address of the fire station, zoom in with Google, and start "walking" in all directions. It's pretty cool. And go to this thread, pages 2 and 3, for some before and after photos of the Radiant Radish, on Melrose: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,6254.25.html (http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,6254.25.html) I'd like to get all of these collated and combined into one thread eventually, it's too good not to have archived in one place. I love before-and-after shots, and Google Maps, plus the information of a few great individuals and fans on this board made it possible to finally see these places. I love using Google Maps to go find places I visited as a kid, or old houses I lived in, or whatever and see what's changed. Sometimes it looks drastically different than what I remember... and other times, like you just did, it's picture perfect exactly as I imagined.
