DJ: So Brian, how did it feel to have Foster The People singing along at the Grammies? Brian: Yeeeeeeaahh... ;D Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: Ron on March 10, 2012, 09:43:00 AM It's like the Bee Gees.
Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: joshferrell on March 10, 2012, 09:54:40 AM am I the only one who thinks that Brians speaking voice seems to be sounding alot like it did during the 60's in this interview? even though he doens't speak much he seems to have that mellow speaking voice that he had during the late 60's..IMO..any thoughts?

Yeah i've noticed this too. Just my thoughts but I think maybe Brian is feeling more relaxed in interviews now that he has Mike doing most of the talking, Brian can just chip in with the odd line when he feels like it and isn't under pressure to over elaborate where he's not comfortable with the question. Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: Lowbacca on March 10, 2012, 11:52:30 AM Interviewer: "You've been recording at Capitol Studios. The song >Do It Again<..."
Brian: "Yeah, I remember that." Wasn't that just a few months ago? :lol :lol Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: GoodToMyBaby on March 10, 2012, 11:56:24 AM Actually it was almost a year ago, so i guess he gets a pass. :)

Late May. David's guitar was added later. Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: Roger Ryan on March 12, 2012, 05:41:17 AM Oh, my mistake. So much for making fun of Brian's memory... Knowing Brian, he probably thought the interviewer was asking about the 1968 sessions for "Do It Again"! I'm pleased to hear Mike encouraging a more unusual setlist; "Warmth of the Sun", "Little Girl..." and SMiLE material would all be most welcome. Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: Awesoman on March 12, 2012, 06:11:15 PM I'm admitting I'm getting a little tired of hearing just how great "That’s Why God Made the Radio" is. Hopefully it will be good, but the last time Brian Wilson hyped a song it was "How Can We Still Be Dancin'"; and that one was way under par...
Title: Re: New Mike & Brian interview Post by: mammy blue on March 13, 2012, 12:55:28 PM It's cool hearing a new interview with Bri and Mike together. I agree that Brian sounded very relaxed, like... dare I say it... old Brian. I think he likes Mike in the spokesman role so he can just interject a few things here and there and not feel the direct pressure. He definitely relaxes.
