Title: RIP Davy Jones Post by: Disney Boy (1985) on February 29, 2012, 01:03:11 PM Not strictly Beach Boys related i know, but i'm sure i'm not the only one here sad to here this news. The Monkees were so much more than their manufactured image, another really terrific, experimental 60's band. Obviously they weren't a match for the BB's, but Headquarters is a great album, the feature length film they made, Head, is terrific, and Star Collector (sung by Davy) is an absolutely spectacular tune (watch on you tube forthwith folks). RIP DJ.

I was never specifically a big fan of Davy but his death means the end of the group as a touring entity and that makes things even sadder for me :'(
