Title: Brian Wilson as a producer
Post by: Magic Transistor Radio on February 28, 2012, 09:10:49 PM
Was Brian ever asked to produce an established band/musician after Pet Sounds? For example, a Paul McCartney (solo), or Elton John in the 70s give it thought only to realise that Brian wasn't well?

I've always thought if he had have been well at the time he should have produced Let It Be rather than Spector

Ramones were considering Brian as producer for END OF THE CENTURY, but ending up going with Spector.

What year was that? I saw the documentary and if I recall it was around 80 or 81? Not a good time for Brian.

It's too bad the band and Brian didn't go off in separate directions. I wish the Three Dog Night project had worked out. It gave us two of Brian's best songs, and I can only imagine what the other two ones would have sounded like. :(
