Foster The People guy sounds like he's doing an annoying  NSYNC voice on "Wouldn't It Be Nice"!

Sucks, but I guess all it does is further point out how unique and unmatched Brian and The Boys were/are as vocalists.

Ok, what do you guys think the odds are of Brian ever coming out from behind the piano/keyboard at all during the whole tour? Will he ever go to the front of the stage to play bass and sing?

I think it's a safe bet Brian will don the P-Bass for freakin' ole 'Barbara Ann', but, if you'd like to put down a fiver...  :hat

I'll bet you £25 he won't, and I'll win. The reason why is in those photos.  ;D

I think I read somewhere that Brian can no longer play bass and concentrate on singing at the same time. I don't know how much of that is true though. He apparently doesn't have any trouble playing piano or keyboard and singing at the same time.

:lol (as you may already have ascertained) I'm a bit thick, which photos are "those photos"?  And, why £25?

The wireimages.com photos on another thread. They are all playing Gibson guitars. Apparently Gibson is a sponsor / has a sponsorship with the band. So when Brian plays bass for the encores, it won't be a Fender.

He does it (plays bass and sings) at all his solo shows. Not masterfully or anything, but he does know the notes for some of the simpler tunes. It's just not his natural instrument (Carl taught him to play it for the original BB shows), and he hasn't kept any great level of skill.

:lol - I suspected it might be about the brand of Bass; thank you for pointing out my lack of research - still curious about the £25 (does it cover an annual mojo sub?)

And, while it's cool that Gibson are sponsors, I'd love to see BW handling a P-Bass

Brian says he's feeling good, but the fact that he's trying to get something out of his teeth (or whatever that is) makes me think somebody fed him a steak or some cake.

OK... £25,000 then.  ;D  £25 is what I'd usually bet on a sure thing.

Yes, those are his teeth.  :)

I was just being polite.   ;)

It would be quite the feat to have teeth like that at that age. Especially for somebody with a history of excesses that tend to lead to poor dental hygiene.

Wow! These videos have made me feel a lot better about their performance tomorrow! It sounds really good from those snippets!

Now for them to choose some dates over in the UK that don't clash with my wedding! Please, I need to see this reunion!

He had them 're-made' a few years ago, if I'm not mistaken.

I know, I felt bad even typing that. ^^ Stuff like that shouldn't be anywhere near the realm of relevance concerning our favourite musician.  :shrug

It's a promo still from the original pilot of The Odd Couple.  Instead of two divorced men sharing an apartment in New York City, here we have a straight-laced vegetarian college professor who meditates every day rooming in Malibu with his cousin, a pot-smoking carnivore deejay with questionable taste in shirts.

Always thought it was staged. You know, like cassius love vs. sunny wilson, or the vegetables arguments.

The set up doesn't look too cheesy! There's a few surfboards up there, but that's about it!  ;D
