Pitchfork is good for something, I guess - The making of The Soft Bulletin!

Such a killer album and I love it even more after watching that documentary. Plus, I never had the US version of the album, so I went and downloaded it after learning about a killer track in that documentary ("The Spiderbite Song").

Ah, I saw this!  They really put a lot into it, I love it.  I wish they could have gotten into a few more songs though, like Suddenly Everything Has Changed but still a great watch.  It reminds me of those Classic Albums documentaries that VH1 use to do.

It's not really mentioned in the documentary besides 'yeah, it sucks' but what the hell IS going on with the tracklisting for this album? With the different US/UK versions and the like, i mean.

Yeah, I never understood why the US version (which is the one I own) doesn't include Slow Motion and why it tacks on two remixes of Race for the Prize and Superman that sound nearly identical to the regular versions.  Seriously, I played them back to back and I cannot spot one difference!

The differences lie mostly in the mix. But the mochran mixes are easy to spot because of the lame bass playing.
