Anyone heard about the new Loose Fur disc, "Born Again In The USA"?  Here are some mp3s:

I guess I should clarify: Loose Fur is basically a Wilco side project that consists of producer Jim O'Rourke, drummer Glenn Kotche, and primary singer/songwriter/frontman Jeff Tweedy.  Favorite track currently is "Wreckroom": which goes all over the place, but is focused and listenable.

Same here, as was "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot", "A Ghost Is Born", "Kicking Television: Live In Chicago", etc. etc.

I love the vibe of "The Ruling Class": it's "Winchester Cathedral" meets "Workingman's Dead".

tweedy played rulling class live on his solo tour. to me it also has that soft 70s cynical randy newman vibe - mixed up with the production of a jj.cale record.  love that stuff. the lyrics are hilarious, but also dead on. this kind of political song hasnt resurfaced in pop music in a while.
