Favorite track currently is "Wreckroom": which goes all over the place, but is focused and listenable.

Same here, as was "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot", "A Ghost Is Born", "Kicking Television: Live In Chicago", etc. etc. I love the vibe of "The Ruling Class": it's "Winchester Cathedral" meets "Workingman's Dead". Title: Re: Loose Fur (with MP3s) Post by: andrew k on March 29, 2006, 06:33:52 AM tweedy played rulling class live on his solo tour. to me it also has that soft 70s cynical randy newman vibe - mixed up with the production of a jj.cale record. love that stuff. the lyrics are hilarious, but also dead on. this kind of political song hasnt resurfaced in pop music in a while.
