Title: Golden Years
Post by: Ovi on January 02, 2012, 04:24:21 PM
I hope this hasn't been discused before. I messed around here in the last couple of days, but I hadn't got the chance yet to read all the threads.

What was the best year (just one) for each Beach Boy (both musically and as private life)?

Brian - musically, 1965-67 before it got "heavy".  I think he was also having a good time artisitcally during Party and Today, and enjoying the accolades as a hot producer

How 'bout 50 years ago, when they signed with Capitol?  Must have been a thrill to realize they could make a song, get it on the radio, and sell records.

Very true! For Bruce it would still be 65 though. My reasons are that Brian seems happier recently then he has in along time. 2004 is when he finished SMiLE. Dennis was married to Barbara in the early 70s which everyone says she was the best thing that happened to him. Carl had over come drugs and was doing his solo thing. Mike still lives in 1964.
