Where did you hear Brian hated it? And why? Title: Re: Down by the Pier Post by: Mooger Fooger on January 01, 2012, 04:32:20 PM The song starts in a style which makes you think immediately of "I Just Called to Say I Love You" then goes into a Carl Wilson LP-esque feel. I honestly do not know wha Brian would dislike it. Compared to anything done in the 1980's by the band, it is very good. IIRC Tom Kelly co-wrote it. I was hoping someone would know if it ever formed the basis of another track.
