Didn't see where this was posted anywhere but apparently a songwriting collab between the two is on Ringo's new album:

appears that Van Dyke Parks has been keeping very busy lately - can't wait to hear this!

Ps: that album cover reminds me of U2s recent tour/album

They have been working together for a long time:
- Rotogravure (1976) - unspecified player)
- Stop and Smell The Roses (1981) - Arrangement on Drumming Is My Madness, Back off Boogaloo, Stop and Smell The Roses
- Vertical Man (1998) - Backing Singer on La DDe La
- Ringo Rama (2003) - accordion on What Love Wants To be, Elizabeth Reigns, English Garden

Van Dyke also co-wrote the sentimental (if badly auto-tuned) "Walk with Me" from Y Not, released last year.

interesting even though 9 songs seem kind of short to me....
