Title: Smile sessions downloads
Post by: Mike's Beard on November 12, 2011, 12:10:02 PM
Great news for anyone that didn't want to splurge for the whole 5 CD set, amazon now have each track available for download. This is handy for people like me who have been dying to own Tune X, I Don't Know and Teeter Totter Love but have little interest in whole disks dedicated to stuff such as Good Vibrations working sessions!!

This is great news for me.  I've got the 2-CD set, and it looks like I won't be able to buy the big box for awhile.

My question for those who have the 5 CD set.  If I were to buy, say, 20 tracks, which tracks would be essential.  There are some that I know I want...Disc 4, track 24 (H&V early version outtake sections)...Tune X and I Don't Know...Holidays and some others.  Which track has the Worms melody bit?  Which DaDa-All Day-Cool Cool Water tracks do I need?  Which 20 tracks would give me the best bang for my twenty bucks?

Thank you!  I've got CCW version 2 on the 2-CD (I think it's the same, no?).  Anyone disagree with Wrightfan's choices?

I'd replace "Wonderful (Version 1)" (which is just a tracking session for the version that shows up on Disc 1) with "Wonderful (Version 3)" which has backing vocals that match some unexpected chord changes on the piano track.
