Title: Portable Cd players/headphone amps Post by: Jonas on October 25, 2011, 01:33:09 PM I mentioned this in one of the million Sessions threads but I figured it deserves its own thread.
I am looking for an efficient portable cd player and possibly a spectacular headphone amp. I already have a good set of headphones, but the only thing that I have to listen to CD's is my laptop, and the headphone jack on that is messed up... Any suggestions? I'm assuming anything that plays a CD will do good, and then put in a pretty penny for the headphone amp... You could probably find something similar there now. I'd search for you but its a hassle doing anything on my phone.

They're smaller than a portable CD player, and all you need is a headphone set that'll plug right into the mp3 player. Besides, if you have an mp3 player, you don't need to take cd's with you. You can just load all 5 discs into the player, and it'll stay there on the player until you plug it into the computer and physically delete everything.

That being said, I was looking into a solid cdplayer for the full experience. I had my eye on the Onkyo C-7030, but now I'm not too sure. I don't see why you'd have a problem with loading a regular CD into an mp3 player. Mine does it without a problem. But I have some boots in FLAC format that won't load.
I haven't owned an actual CD player for a few years now. When my last one died, I just hooked up my old Sony DVD player to the receiver, and it plays just like a normal CD player. I upgraded to a better DVD player, so I just figured I'd try to save money by seeing if my old DVD player would do the job. ;D |
