Can anyone confirm if Murry Wilson actually composed this gem?

It only took like 12 years but yes, that song was written by Murry. The same band recorded his "I'll hide my tears" as well. Check out our fellow member Junkstar's site for more information: https://boltrecords.net/2020/10/10/murrywilsonlp/

But the Beach Boys connections don't end there. Bobby Day (of "Rockin' Robin" fame) was a member of the (Hollywood) Flames, which had it's biggest hit with "Buzz, buzz, buzz" (covered by the Beach Boys during their '84 July 4th concert. The same Bobby Day wrote and recorded the song "Over and over" which was recorded by Mike Love for his first solo album (and re-recorded a couple of years ago). I wonder if the guys were aware of all the Bobby day connections.
