Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: Dove Nested Towers on September 16, 2011, 12:53:28 AM That shirt back is a new design, I assume, not used on the actual '74 tour, was it?
Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: buddhahat on September 16, 2011, 01:06:36 AM Cheers for the heads up on that - have wanted one of these for a while.

Just picked one up Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: Mikie on September 16, 2011, 08:42:15 AM That shirt back is a new design, I assume, not used on the actual '74 tour, was it? No. And if I had a choice, I wouldn't want anything on the back of this new one either. But you indicated that you have a shirt from '74, right? So you already know there's nothing on the back. I still have the blue one here - hasn't fit in decades! http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,9140.25.html Then there's this one, which I picked up the following year during the Beachago tour, May, 1975. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ULTRA-RARE-1975-vtg-BEACH-BOYS-T-SHIRT-chicago-M-/290565554227 Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: Aegir on September 16, 2011, 11:39:38 AM These are selling like hotcakes - XL is already sold out... and apparently these run small. The red woody shirt that I bought at a show a few years back was really tight too.
Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: alanjames on September 16, 2011, 07:17:53 PM And now Large is sold out too. I bought the last one right now!

Some great shirts at Topman but their prices are daft. Fashionably so…
Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: Mikie on October 04, 2011, 08:58:06 AM Only reason I'd get a "Rhonda" shirt is if my wife or girlfriend's name is Rhonda. Yeah, Brian wore it for a couple of years around '76-'77 but when I look at it I say, "Huh?". Where's the humor? What's the point? I love the song, but I don't get it. Why not "I Get Around" or "I Can Hear Music" or..........."Surf's Up"?
Meanwhile, about these new shirts with the Brother logo. They run small. I got the 2XL because I know it'll shrink. Compared to most sizes, it's actually a Large or at the most XL. It fits me perfectly right now, but after a few washings, I guaranteed it won't! So I'm thinking that I just won't wash it - I'll just smell bad. Who cares. So I'm thinking that I just won't wash it - I'll just smell bad. Who cares. Thanks for that. I opted for 2XL as well and they look huge – my girlfriend was trés bemused – but that info makes things a little brighter. On the downside, I find that I'm getting larger at the same rate my clothes shrink. Who'd'a thought it? 8) Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: Exapno Mapcase on October 05, 2011, 10:55:59 AM Now I've got to go out and find me a girl called Rhonda!
Title: Re: Brother Records Logo on BBs T-Shirt Post by: CosmicDancer on October 05, 2011, 10:56:42 AM I wish they'd offer it in XXXL. I am 6'3" with a long torso and broad shoulders. In theory, a XXL would work, but they always shrink and end up being to short. I want this shirt in a bad way!

I'm thinking about getting another one in case this one looses its size/fit/color/logo. I also have a Beach Boys Pendleton '63 shirt (2XL) that's 100% cotton though and it's holding up quite well. Wish I'd gotten a second one of those - if I knew where to get another one for around 20 bucks, I'd jump on it! http://www.hansensclothing.com/display.asp?id=10115&sra=2 And there's also a white Pendleton commemorative T-shirt with a picture of The Boys (Surfer Girl album cover) with the words, American Classics Pendleton Since Nineteen 63, Pendletones - The Beach Boys. Note that it says, "Pendletones", not Pendleton! That's what The Beach Boys were called briefly. When I went to go see Jardine in Berkeley last April, he looked at my shirt and said, "You know, I loaned David Marks my Pendleton shirt for that Surfer Girl album photo shoot". Brian is not up for 100-110 shows, (and who would be?) but a weekend with a room full of instruments, recording equipment on, and a few family with hand held video cameras recording the event would be fine by me. Is there a size chart or some sh*t I can look up? "Y'all", eh? You from da South? When I say it "runs small" that means a "Large" size manufactured by one company might be a "Medium" size by another company. In this case, the "Large" sized fit feels like it would actually be a Medium size. If it's 100% cotton (like the above discussed T-shirts) these babies will shrink like a Mofo. Bottom line, get the "Large" size and you won't go wrong, but if you got a big ol' belly it won't make no difference no-how - that sucker's gonna fit REAL tight or not at all! They should have a XXL or 2XL sizes available - I dunno why they don't.
