If it wasn't for all of you -- all of us -- we'd never be getting official releases like this. Big "ups" to Jon Hunt and John Lane from The Smile Shop from back in the old days. Post by: rab2591 on September 14, 2011, 07:24:49 PM This set has probably been in the works for a long time now - but two years ago when I started lurking here I read a thread that dealt with what our SMiLE box set dream was - and the consensus among everyone of the set was that we needed a vinyl or two, a book, CDs full of studio chatter, a velvet lining (which we didn't get, but hey, we're getting everything else), and a few other things. Then, all of a sudden a boxset sprouts up and it has all of those wishes on it...AND MORE!
I agree: A big thanks goes out to everyone here (yes, everyone), to Mark Linett, Alan Boyd, The Beach Boys themselves, Van Dyke Parks, etc....This set's gonna be amazing!!!!
