1. How did BC and RF meet each other? 2. Were they Beach Boys fans before? (there music is obviously heavily influenced by the Beatles) 3. Was the Chaplin/Fataar song writing such that one was more of the lyrist? But - in short: Blondie was probably asked to join The Flames (which consisted of Steve, Brother, and Ricky Fataar), after their previous guitarist(s) Edries Fredericks and (his replacement) Baby Duval had left the band. 2. I think he mentioned Little Deuce Coupe and I Get Around as the ones he'd heard, but for the most part he was a fan of the STAX and Motown records that were getting airplay, and of course the Beatles and Stones.

Girls and Barbara Ann being #1 hits as well), so I guess he heard them then too. Although vinyl copies of their last 2 South African albums (Soul Fire and Burning Soul) show up on Ebay from time to time, except for an average sounding Best Of CD (from 1994, long OOP) their music wasn't available on CD. Until now.
In 2010 the 2fer Soulfire + Burning Soul was released, and just a couple of months back their impossible to find first 2 albums and all their non album singles as well !!
