But don't some people consider Brian a Christian? Christianity's entire structure of thought is based on life after death.

Believing in a god and believing in an afterlife are two different cans of worms.

Is afterlife a metaphor for being born again, as Jesus said?  And might he have been referring to reaching an enlightened state where "heaven" might be on earth if one can wrap one's brain around that?

this is pretty cool. is this guy treating brian a bit too delicately or is that just me? sure brian is sixty whatever but he was 20 whatever too in the 60s so what's the big deal. brian's there trying to make him lighten up sniging the gershwin rock and roll thing and the guy says like a psychologist HOW DOES THAT MAKE U FEEL?

Brian does firmly believe in Life cereal after he wakes up (particularly the cinnamon variety). He eats several bowls because it keeps the ghosts at bay.

If I knew why I just spent a couple of hours on my time off looking for pictures of ghosts (thank you, Smiley Smile message board) instead of packing for my cross-country move I wouldn't be continuing this sentence which keeps on going until it suddenl

What about when he said his creative inspiration comes from the universe into his pineal gland, down to the bottom of his spine, and up into his fingers to the keys? Is that more crazy notions? Or is that Brian candidly revealing the mystical process of his songwriting - illumination from cosmos, used as the mouthpiece for the cosmic lila? Remember the day, Remember the night, - ALL DAY LONG.

Brian has some kind of belief on an afterlife, as he observed to a mutual friend that he couldn't make mistakes in heaven.

What does that mean? He couldn't - as in, in heaven there will be no mistakes? Or when he's "in heaven" (cocaine) he can't make mistakes? (as Love You proves).

If Brian's ghost haunted your home, which songs would you request he play on your piano? I'd be up for some Ding & Dang to lighten the mood of a seance...

If he's gonna haunt my house, he's gonna be playing "Shortenin' Bread" non-stop!

Brian has said many times that his music is channeled through him by a higher power so the answer is probably yes.
