Dave Marks was a surprise guest at Mike & Bruce's Grand Island, Nebraska show last night.  He sat in for about a half-dozen songs (playing some mean guitar, I might add) and came back at the very end for the final group bow.  Great seeing & chatting with him & Carrie, and of course Scott, John, Tim, Bruce & Mike. 

would loved to have seen that show!

This is good news, David is an integral part of The Beach Boys and it would be great if he plays more dates, same goes for Al.

I guess 'the big fallout' between Mike and David a while back has blown over.  Lots of posts on that; even Carrie posted back then.

I imagine the Lovester realized that you can't do a proper 50th reunion with an original member sitting on the sidelines.

"big fallout"  That's funny. David's never had a 'big fallout' with anyone in his life...he just pouts, feels sorry for himself and then gets over it.  Everything is fine between him and Mike.  He had a great time playing with them again in Nebraska and is looking forward to the next time.

Gosh, my bad, you are quite right Carrie, I've misquoted you.  I was referring to the thread where David said to a fan there'd be no reunion.

First, to be clear...I am not speaking for Al, only David...and I never said you were lying, or misrepresenting what he said to you because I don't doubt for a second he made some flippant, anti-reunion comment to you that day.  And, it is true that David  jacked up on caffeine and ginseng does not affect your hearing...but it DOES affect what comes out of his mouth!!!!!

That's great news! I'm seeing the Boys on Saturday -- fingers crossed for another surprise appearance!

It was a total coincidence, we were driving across the country and planned to spend last Friday night around Lincoln, NE when I saw C-Man's facebook post about seeing the guys in Grand Island.  Since we were driving right by there, David called Mike and we got together with him for dinner and he invited us to the show.  Scott was kind enough to ask David to sit in and Christian was even kinder to loan him his amp during the car songs.  It was all a rather surreal, pleasant surprise.
