Dunno...it's impossible to get a job without a phone or ability to get in contact.  Supposed to be shut off sometime today; I've got in contact with every place I put an app in and got blown off. One even told me if I don't have a phone they won't hire me. f*** it.

Best of luck to you. I was job hunting for over a year before I found something. I managed to keep relatively busy with freelance projects, but the work wasn't steady enough to keep my head above water. Lost my fiance, apartment, car... everything. I was a sad panda for awhile.

Now I'm rebuilding and actually kind of enjoying it. Everything will work out eventually, so keep your head up!  8)

Thanks guys for being there for me. I hit rock bottom today and big time. I was about to do something I shouldn't, and had slammed my fist against the keyboard in anger...when I did I hit F5 and the screen refreshed, and when I did I saw the email. That was some crazy sh*t right there.

Don't do anything dumb, Billy. This place needs you. We wouldn't be the same without you. Even when your internet gets shut off, you're still here in spirit, and we're still here for you.  :) SMiLE has a strange way of bringing us all together.  ;)

Thanks guys! It's a huge paycut from what I was making before, but I enjoyed working in the restaurant environment before, and I'm all burned out on call centers, so this will work :)

Man, it's gotta be a good feeling just knowing you'll have some $$ coming in! I hope the Olive Garden will be a low stress for you.
After a while you can even look for a job paying more $$, if it suits ya. 
Life is tough out there right now. Good jobs are super hard to find, without that masters degree.  I've been out of work since Dec. 2008...

Congrats on getting the job.

To be honest, I'm starting to wonder. I still don't know when my orientation is. On Monday I was told I got it after both interviews, and I would get an email stating when it was. at 4:30p on Tuesday, I called up there as I still hadn't gotten an email. I was told that if it doesn't happen by tomorrow (now yesterday), to call back. So, I did. I was told that they had all been sent out on Monday and he would ask the GM what was going on and would call me back. He never did. I'm wondering what the hell is going on. Did they change their minds? If so, that's pretty f***ed up.

Everything's gravy...I start tomorrow morning at 10am
