You could also turn the same narrative into saying he was inspired by God, and the voices were angels. It's too bad these morons decide to pick on the Beach Boys for all the wrong reasons. There's a fine line between genius and insanity, if any. We can be thankful that Brian channeled his "gift" towards some of the greatest music of the 20th century, instead of running around stabbing people.
