Title: Brian at the Surf! Post by: onkster on June 10, 2011, 09:59:33 AM This is gonna be great...got tickets for Clear Lake's Surf Ballroom for a Brian show at the end of July!
Strangely, though I used to vacation every summer at the Lake (I now live in LA), I never once saw a show at the Surf. The place looks beautiful now--nicely restored--and it'll be a real treat to catch Brian in the setting of my youthful vacations. My main advice to Brian and company: don't take any small planes outta town after the show. Just sayin'. Title: Re: Brian at the Surf! Post by: Andrew G. Title: Re: Brian at the Surf! Post by: onkster on June 10, 2011, 01:36:08 PM I'm betting he does. Will of course let you know!
Wonder if he realizes he's been there before? Title: Re: Brian at the Surf! Post by: LostArt on June 11, 2011, 08:30:41 AM I'm seriously considering going to see this show. St. Charles is closer to me, but the drive to Clear Lake will be a beautiful one from where I live. The un-glaciated southwestern part of Wisconsin is gorgeous. Tickets to the show are only $35 in advance, but I'd have to get a motel room. I live about 45 minutes from the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay, which is where Buddy Holly's next to last show was held, and it'd be nice to see the Surf. I'm talkin' myself into it now.
