Which is too bad, because otherwise I actually really liked that stripped-down arrangement they did (yes, sadly I still remember that episode from my youth vividly).  It would have been quite nice with just a piano and strings.

- The fact, that blowing out a single candle in a hall full of lit candle makes the whole place dark

The fact that he thought he could do justice to the song in the first place is funny.

I thought it a nice nod to Dennis. The power pop type arrangement works fairly well. Not too different than if the Raspberries or Rubinoos had covered it.

After watching that "rap", i want Dennis to come down from Heaven to sing the song the right way and then kick stamos' ass. A music hero's best song shouldn't be used for laugh track humor like that. :-[

Speaking as a fan of Full House, albeit one with reservations, I always thought Stamos was more convincing as the dude holed up in his basement making music and not the dude performing and doing otherwise weird stuff in music on the show.

Funniest thing about it is how angry people get at it. If there were an afterlife, I'd bet Dennis would be in it laughing his ass off at reactions to Stamos's cover more than at the cover itself.

Should probably state i started this thread with tongue somewhat in cheek  :P

Really, Dennis would probably think "Stamos used this to get p*ssy. And it worked. Good for him, that was the point of it all."

Recently, I was talking to a friend and had sent her a mix of various songs including "Forever". I was then badmouthing the Stamos version and she told me that she had that version played as the main song at her wedding, as she had always said she wanted it played at her wedding when she was young. Thankfully, they recently split up, so I didn't feel *too* bad. But still D=

The videos posted to this thread have pretty much ruined this song for me. I watched the Full House rap and the music video this morning - I can't get the song out of my head, which normally wouldn't be a bad thing, but when I take the time to think about what I am humming I think of babies, candlelight, and Aladdin....hopefully this will pass with time....hopefully. :'(

The arrangement of Forever isn't too bad (in relation to other tacky early 90's power ballads), the CHR Mix I think is very well done, however, the problem I have is John Stamos' delivery of it, as if he's trying to channel Dennis, if he had sung it as John Stamos (or, Full House connections aside) get Carl to sing the damn thing, I think it could have been very good. As it is, the thing I find funniest about it is that is succeeded where, California Feelin', Still I Dream of It and various other brilliant songs failed; it got released.
