I'm not sure he's doing BWRG in full on the July/August dates - the venues (casino, open air) would seem to argue against that. I'll find out. Title: Re: BW summer US dates - latest additions. Smile Sessions Box on the 12th, Mike and Bruce and co. on the 21st, and Brian on either the 29th, 30th, or 31st. That'll be a bit of a road trip for me, no matter which date I choose. St. Charles is the closest, Grand Rapids is the farthest, and Clear Lake is...well...Iowa. Decisions, decisions.

I missed the chance to see him at the Post Gazette Pavillion about ten years or so ago. He's played in Philadelphia on almost every tour. Montclair, NJ isn't that far; 90 minute drive at most. Considering people flew from all over the globe to see Brian's first solo "tour" in '99, a 90 minute drive doesn't seem that big of an undertaking. Title: Re: BW summer US dates - latest additions. According to AGD's site, the third Beach Boys gig ever was as part of a memorial tribute to Richie Valens (who perished in the same plane crash as Holly). Even if he forgot, he'll probably see the monument out front memorializing Holly, Valens, The Big Bopper and the two pilots.
