Just got one!! Two new beach boys vinyls this week. I'm spoilt  ;D ;D

So when/where are the DFTS singles with 4 Beach Boys autographs going to be auctioned off?

Just ordered mine too. My first NEW vinyl purchase since the mid-80's (Made In U.S.A., maybe?).

I thought I heard Ebay for Japan, or something like that; with minimum bid at $150( all proceeds to charity) 
I heard they have done a pre-sale of some signed copies at $150 flat-rate; not something I would care that much about, already having their sigs many times.  And I'm not super flush with Charity $$ at the moment...

I placed my order.

So, the person who paid $192 for this record on eBay was just some sort of fool then?

A big, unknowing fool, I'd say; I just wrote the buyer and told him he could get it for $15, and probably get his $$ back from the seller, if he's already paid. 
 And a lousy lying seller( definitely NOT a RSD only release); who won't be giving any of that $$ to Japan, I'd wager

Amazing how many different people bid >$50 for this item. You'd think that anyone interested in such a specialized item would be better informed about the thing itself.

In his or her defense: I don't see any lies or anything misleading in the description. So is it the seller's fault that someone is stupid enough to pay that much for it?

Strangely DFTS is marketed as an Al Jardine song, though it contains (almost) all of the boys...  Contractual reasons? Otherwise it is the first decent Beach Boys song in years.... Wink

That could be a honest mistake. After all, it is a limited release (available for a limited amount of time, with a limited amount of copies on white vinyl) that was first presented on Record Store Day.

So it must be the seller's fault on Ebay to sell a GV/Heroes 78 last Saturday for $150.00, which was three days before Record Store Day.

I was being sarcastic, Bgas. If someone is dumb enough to pay that before the thing even comes out, it ain't the seller's fault!

Friend of mine sent the Ebay seller a few nasty love notes last Saturday accusing him of gouging collectors and buyers in general. I didn't say anything. Since this is a limited edition release, I wouldn't be surprised if it sells for that much one of these days. The DFTS single may also solicit much more than what it's selling for now some day.

Does anyone know how us Europeans can get this single for a reasonable price? On soundstagedirect.com it's $15 + (at least) $20 shipping and I'm obviously not paying that for a brand new 7".

That's some of the biggest BS I've read in a while. So you either have to pay $20 shipping or run the risk of getting a damaged record, just because these amateurs don't have proper boxes for 7" records? Screw it, I really want this single but I'm not paying $35.

Has anybody received their copy yet?

Mine arrived yesterday.  The a capella version of Friends is really cool, the backing track does fades in towards the end of the song, btw.

Is it going against the spirit of thing to ask someone if they can put Friends (Acapella) on youtube? The options to get this across the atlantic are somewhat expensive/risky, and i really wanna hear it!
