Title: Re: Brians board Post by: buddhahat on April 12, 2011, 12:21:13 AM I can get on ok. There's a news update about tour dates - maybe they were adding that?

Title: Re: Brians board Post by: sherryluvsbrian on April 12, 2011, 09:09:01 AM Why would anybody wanna go there ? I dont go often. I do have friends there and here. Title: Re: Brians board Post by: sherryluvsbrian on April 12, 2011, 09:10:33 AM Why would anybody wanna go there ? They have members from here that post there. Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 12, 2011, 09:24:49 AM If there's really people from this board that are caught posting on Brian's board, they should be banned from this board.

That would be me, then. ;D Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 12, 2011, 09:43:17 AM Why in the hell do you post over there with all those............those nutters, AGD? Does Bluebird still post there? Does Brian ever post there anymore - or even Melinda? It's hilarious to watch all those people worship and praise and kiss Brian's ass right after he posts there. Reminds me of going to church on Sundays!
And how many times have you been banned there, Andrew? Must be a record. And how were you allowed back; was it Melinda or DeMartin that let you come back? Was it after your insistence that you be re-instated, or did you plead the 5th, then the 1rst ammendment? ;D Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Andrew G. Was it after your insistence that you be re-instated, or did you plead the 5th, then the 1rst ammendment? ;D Oddly enough, first time I met Jeff he said exactly that (only somewhat more robustly). I post because they're as entitled to accurate - or at least, my idea of accurate - information like anyone else. Plus it's fun to ignore the trolls. Of late there's been some complete and utter dickheads over there, name of "Surfin' USA", "Summer Days" (pretty sure they're the same person) and an alleged author called "Alex McDonald", all of whose mission in life appears to be taking a pop at me: none of them have ever posted anything of even minimal worth. Pretty sure who they are. Bluebird: no, she got run-off when she borrowed a grand from a friend of mine and only paid back maybe $300. That righteously pissed me off, so I just blew the whistle on her past dubious monetary dealings and her fantasy that she had a close & personal relationship with Brian & Melinda. The woman is a liar and a fantasist. Oddly, none of her former friends said word one. Never been banned, just 'requested not to post' for a while, once. One day, I just started posting again. Melinda & I have achieved an understanding. That's all I'll say. Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Joshilyn Hoisington on April 12, 2011, 01:55:55 PM Here I was all ready for a tech-y discussion of Brian's mixer/sound board...
Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 12, 2011, 02:15:04 PM ;D
OK, since this thread has started to run it's course, let's discuss the board Brian was allowed to use at Western without Chuck slapping his hand away because it was a union-run studio. Was Brian allowed to touch the board at Goldstar too, or did Levine tell him not to touch the knobs and sliders? How about at Columbia and RCA? He wasn't given carte blanche there, was he? He probably had the run of Desper's board at Bellagio. And while we're at it, let's discuss Murry's board at Western. Do you think it was realistic enough to fake him out? Can you imagine if/when Murry found out it wasn't doing anything how poop woulda hit the fan? Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Pretty Funky on April 12, 2011, 02:17:22 PM Mikie...you bet me to it!
Here I was all ready for a tech-y discussion of Brian's mixer/sound board... Oh all right. If it will make you happy! Does anyone know any tech-y details of Brians mixer sound board? ;D ....or Brians bored may get a bit of interest. Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 12, 2011, 02:25:32 PM Yep, I bet you to it, Anon! And I win the bet! ;D
FYI, I know aeijtzsche knows quite a bit about the boards at the studios that Brian used. I think there's still an equipment thread around here someplace..... Title: Re: Brians board Post by: SurfRiderHawaii on April 12, 2011, 02:57:11 PM If there's really people from this board that are caught posting on Brian's board, they should be banned from this board. Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mike's Beard on April 12, 2011, 04:24:37 PM It could be the most interesting msg board on the 'net, but I can't get beyond the shitty layout design. Awful.
Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 12, 2011, 04:34:04 PM I can't get beyond the first 10 messages without gagging.
Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Amy B. on April 12, 2011, 06:08:34 PM I used to post there fairly regularly. It was nice when Brian would come on, whether it was him or not (and I think he was at least sitting there). And at one point, Van Dyke came on. Same with Taylor and Nelson, IIRC. I'd probably go there more often if the format was different, but for now I just read it occasionally to see if there's any news. I never found it too insufferable. It's just a message board. But this one is much more interesting, that's for sure.
Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 12, 2011, 08:57:44 PM What did Van Dyke have to say? Did he come on the board around 2004, when BWPS came out or more recently?
Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Jay on April 12, 2011, 09:38:47 PM Why would anybody wanna go there ? I did, once. I got lost for about an hour. ;DTitle: Re: Brians board Post by: Ron on April 12, 2011, 09:51:08 PM There's a different sort of fan over there for sure... they have their pros and cons, just like the fans that frequent this board have their pros and cons. Over there, they're much more caught up in idol worshipping Brian, but they're also in general much more pleasant (with some exceptions). Over here, the conversation is much more intellectual but also there's much more arrogance. The two clash, the blueboarders would hate it here and the smiley smilers hate it there. Both have their place. Just thing of it as a necessary evil; if there wasn't a blueboard, they'd all be over here bugging the hell out of you.
NEW POLL: WHATS YOUR FAVORITE SHIRT BRIAN WORE IN A PICTURE??? ANYBODY CATCH AMERICAN IDOL? I LIKE CHOCOLATE!!! Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Andrew G. Doe on April 13, 2011, 12:37:04 AM I see what someone has referred to as my "designated troll" has reappeared, cozying up to Nelson for confirming the Disney songs listed are largely inaccurate... about 36 hours after I said just that. As I said, "Alex McDonald" invariably takes a pop at me in their posts, and never contributes anything of merit. Should I be flattered at this unwarranted attention ?
Title: Re: Brians board Post by: smile-holland on April 13, 2011, 03:06:59 AM If there's really people from this board that are caught posting on Brian's board, they should be banned from this board. Did he come on the board around 2004, when BWPS came out or more recently? I believe it was 2005 or 2006. A poster from the Blueboard e-mailed VDP (which is pretty easy, I guess) and asked if he would come and post. He was reluctant because he wasn't sure if it was Wilson-approved. He ended up coming at a designated time (so people could be sure to be there) and staying for a bit. I remember that he told me loved the song "Once in Love With Amy," which made me tear up because it was my late mother's song for me. But I wish I had a transcript because I can't remember what else he said. Title: Re: Brians board Post by: Mikie on April 13, 2011, 07:28:19 AM "Once in Love With Amy". No wonder you liked the song! Thanks, Amy.
