Title: We're Together Again - A Question Post by: GuyOnTheBeach on April 10, 2011, 02:47:04 PM I'm kind of new here, I've been lurking for a while reading the posts, but I joined out of interest over the thread about the tapes. Anyway..
The track "We're Together Again" this one confuses me a little. First of all, what's the deal with the version on the 2-fer, it cuts off pretty much half of the song, was there some reason to this ?, I know lyrically it doesn't really progress but there is that nice string bit which is worth listening too. Another thing is, when did they re-cut it ?, I've .. been told... that there's another version out there with a different backing track and backing vocals, but with no lead vocal, this track has a different feel, with slide guitar and what sounds like a either a Marimba or a Xylophone. Thanks to anyone who can make me a little less confused on this one. The acapella goes on for a little while longer. That could be anything from that's how they found a mix (or similar) to the fact it was getting to be a 25+ track cd and they were running out of space.
And welcome aboard! :) Title: Re: We're Together Again - A Question Post by: GuyOnTheBeach on April 10, 2011, 03:36:45 PM Don't quite follow - wasn't aware the 'released' version was cut, apart from the fact the fade is quite short.
