Title: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: TheLazenby on March 02, 2006, 07:12:44 AM What artist dominates your CD collection more than any other?
For me, I think it would probably be the Bee Gees - I'm making it my goal to collect every single one of their albums (including solo and unreleased ones), and I'm only nine away... I'm only missing an unreleased soundtrack or two, and a handful of albums that weren't released on CD in the US. Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: NimrodsSon on March 02, 2006, 07:16:48 AM If you include bootlegs, it would be Tom Waits. I have approximately 100 Tom Waits bootlegs and nearly all of the studio albums (the ones I don't have on CD, I have on vinyl). If you don't include bootlegs, it would probably be Frank Black.
Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: Sir Rob on March 02, 2006, 07:18:46 AM Boringly, I have more CDs by The Beach Boys than any other artist(s).
Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: Fire Wind on March 02, 2006, 08:41:52 AM Same here, probably. They released so many more though, than most of my other favourite artists. That's not counting bootlegs, though if it were, the answer'd still be the same. Dylan, or Sinatra, would be the next biggest shelf-fillers.
Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: Bubba Ho-Tep on March 02, 2006, 08:48:10 AM Beach Boys come in first, of course, followed by Elvis and then Neil Young….then Bowie….after that, meh…

Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: TheLazenby on March 02, 2006, 07:33:36 PM Yeah, I have a large stack of TMBG's too... I have near complete collections of most of the people I like, but thankfully, none of them were recording machines like the Bee Gees were... ::)
Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: halleluwah on March 02, 2006, 07:48:29 PM Neil Young. I have the majority of his albums, plus several bootlegs.
Not surprisingly, Radiohead is second for me. They've only released 6 albums, but I also have all their EPs and b-sides, as well as a hell of a lot of live shows and unreleased stuff. I'm pretty fanatical about them. Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: Mitchell on March 02, 2006, 08:32:45 PM Green Day Collection

Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: cabinessence on March 05, 2006, 02:33:37 AM My 'biggest' or most intensely pursued collections (forget CDs; any format will do) are of long-ago artists who are rarely heard on these American shores, and whose limited release recordings are unlikely to be rereleased anywhere any time soon, strictly my private stash of personal pleasures.
For example, 'Palm Wine Guitar' master of Sierra Leone, S.E. Rogie. He's the one I collect first and foremost. Title: Re: Your biggest CD collection? Post by: coldlimepizza on March 05, 2006, 04:35:22 PM It would be Grateful Dead, Beatles, Beach Boys. Looking above, its nice to see such a wide variety of musical tastes
