I hate when people cover songs and they just sing the lyrics... you do a good job of putting the optimism and happiness that the original song has in it. There's a little touch of melancholy in the orignal song that you caught too.
Very refreshing to hear somebody not afraid to sing a song with a smile instead of trying to sound hurt and depressed, or angry all the time. It's hard to walk that line and not sound shmaltzy, but you pulled it off! Very nice, keep it up.
