Wipe Out: Kinda fun but I tend to listen to Carl's guitar licks more than anything else. Pity the video camera didn't focus more on him.

Not the complete show. Thanks!

EDIT:
Man, Dennis' voice is gone. And it looks like Carl had to part Mike and Dennis even before the first song

I liked the Dennis-Al moment at 1:16.00. Dennis hugs Al and Al seems to ask in a friendly, amused way, "Where are your clothes?"

I know Al told Dennis he got in the band on Brian's coattails on the tarmac in 1977 during the fight that almost broke up the band, but it seemed like they got along well most of the time, despite their wildly different lifestyles.

What a decline in three years in Dennis. At the July 4 show in 1980, Dennis was on the downside, but he still looked OK and wasn't sweating much despite it being an outdoor show in the heat. In this show they were in an air-conditioned dome but he was covered in sweat just a few songs into the show.

It's sad to watch this 30 years later. I can only imagine how sad it was for Carl to see it close up as it was happening.

I have to be honest and say that I like the way that Mike often knocks the home crowd.

An interesting set list for this show but I don't really like Jeff's Warmth of the Sun and despise Mike's Imagine.

Thanks for the 1983 concert footage! Very fascinating although the concert itself is kind of lame compared to their Knebworth performance from only three years back. It's strange to see two drummers on stage. As a musician, was DW that unreliable by this point? Brian appears to be in decent shape here, which is nice. Not a big fan of Carl's rock songs.

Yes.  I saw a show on Labor Day weekend of '83 where Dennis wasn't even there.  Mike explained during the show that there was a problem with their plane to New Jersey & the band had to borrow Willie Nelson's private jet to get to the gig.  There wasn't enough room for the whole band so Dennis was one of the odd men out (as was Brian).  Kowalski was a necessary part of the touring band during those years.

Does anybody know what Dennis tells Carl afterwards? "Give me a second........"

Not to forget the moments when Dennis didn't have a drumset ready because he kicked his on Mike

BTW check out the Mike Douglas appearance after the '83 show. It's the one in which the Beach Boys play a set on the beach of Hawaii in 1980. I love that performance. I hope this will get released in great quality some time. Would make a great bonus video for an Athology DVD

I've just uploaded my 14th, you heard me right, 14TH video on YouTube, this last one is a review/observation over random BB collectibles I've had through the years. Pretty random stuff from a menu and matchbook from the Beach Boys cafe to old bumper stickers to the collectible cars from 1998. The linky is on my signature, ENJOY!

Leave me a comment if you've got any of this stuff.

For me, this really is the all-time low point for The Beach Boys. It makes it even sadder that Dennis was there to have to endure it.....

Hilarious how Dennis is trying to get the show started while Bruce is still being paraded around in a woodie.

There are some good moments though. Dance Dance Dance is great! Check out Al's fingers on the intro! And Carl shreds on the solo!

Mike looks like a demented psychopath the whole way through and his eyes are all wrong. I wonder what was up with him at that point.

The crowd seems to be very small. Was the show advertised or was it only for El Camino students/ex-students?

This one was posted before but it's been a while. The closing credits for "Good vibrations from Central Park" 1971 with Mike playing Tannerin (?) on GV

Sorry if this has been posted recently, but a search didn't find it other than in 2007, and I think it was taken down sometime thereafter.

Brian at Oslo, June 17, 2007.

A mixed bag... bad vocals, good vocals, a couple of band members not present, wrong lyrics, "Breakaway & Drive In".

Imagine if the new live album had the chunky quality of those drums.

Nice! Heard this some time back.

Really digging this song lately. Beautiful and haunting. The lyrics remind me of my lows as well (in relation to fighting depression.)
