Title: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: NickandthePassions on September 08, 2014, 08:42:11 PM I'm at my senior year in High School. Today we took senior portraits in library. It was a very vintage setting with records. I brought my Pet Sounds and Surf's Up vinyls as well as some other significant vinyls to have in the background of my portrait. Anyways, I have to have a senior quote for the yearbook and would like to have a Brian Wilson/Beach Boys quote/lyric. I want something significant and meaningful.
Nothing like "Hey little Tomboy sit here on my lap..." -- that would be great, though? Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: Rocket on September 08, 2014, 08:48:35 PM "Pat...Pat...Pat Pat Pat her on her butt, butt."
Just kidding of course. I'm also a senior, probably gonna do a BB quote as well! I can't think of a good one atm :( Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: alf wiedersehen on September 08, 2014, 08:58:13 PM I almost went with "To wear a floral shirt is an experience", which is apparently something Brian said.
The Beach Boys don't have too many deep, meaningful lyrics to quote. Just wasn't really their thing. Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: Shady on September 08, 2014, 09:10:01 PM Awesome stuff Nick.
"I've been trying hard to find the people that I won't leave behind" has been my mantra as long as I've been a fan. Seems pretty appropriate, bit of a bummer though ;D Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: Cyncie on September 08, 2014, 09:12:13 PM They say I got brains
But they ain't doing me no good I wish they could LOL! sorry. It just seemed vaguely academic. Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: Rocky Raccoon on September 08, 2014, 09:46:34 PM "Norbit."
Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: NickandthePassions on September 08, 2014, 10:11:03 PM "Norbit." That would be fantastic. Or the quote about chocolate. Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: Eric Aniversario on September 08, 2014, 10:51:11 PM Did someone say birthday cake?
Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: alf wiedersehen on September 08, 2014, 11:22:51 PM "I like food." - Brian Wilson
Use it. Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: joe_blow on September 09, 2014, 12:02:48 AM Well oh my oh gosh oh gee?
My friend Bob, he has a job? We'll remember always, graduation day? Whether willing witness waits at my mind whether hope dampens memory? A lot was going on! Dennis threw furniture? Life is full of possibilities? I've got 3,000 words to say? Closer to hip replacement than hip hop? I just want to write hits with my cousin? I was Mr. Positive Thinker? We're all goin' places? I guess I'm just a sentimental sap? Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: Eric Aniversario on September 09, 2014, 12:33:57 AM The cigarette butt when you throw it in the water goes PFFT.

Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: smilethebeachboysloveyou on September 09, 2014, 02:35:10 AM The Beach Boys don't have too many deep, meaningful lyrics to quote. Just wasn't really their thing. "I'm a leaf on a windy day, pretty soon I'll be blown away" is as deep and meaningful a lyric as I've ever heard. (Not sure it'd make a great senior quote, thought).Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: The Shift on September 09, 2014, 03:34:36 AM "Wassa matter buddy, ain't you heard of my school? Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: runnersdialzero on September 13, 2014, 02:26:58 AM I stressed over my senior quote for months, had over a dozen final contenders; mostly song quotes that I thought were profound, stuff like that. I finally went with something that was not one of said over-dozen contenders: "If a tree falls in the woods and no one's around, who wants sandwiches?" I don't regret it at all, and not to toot my own horn, but I'd say it's one of the more memorable quotes in the book. Just a thought, I guess.
... although sometimes I do wish I had went with "I wish I would have dropped out." Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: The Shift on September 13, 2014, 05:55:09 AM I will always be grateful for the good education what I of had hear.

Title: Re: Help me pick my Senior quote Post by: SMiLE-addict on September 15, 2014, 08:55:03 PM I would use "Stop and find a pretty shell for her." For some reason I really like that line, guess it's because I'm a sentimental guy and that line is a cute, sentimental thought. :)

I don't envy any of you, because it sounds like a really boring stuff. Hip-hip hooray! Btw, we also don't have stupid, yawn-inducing prom dance. If we had, I'd refuse & just sit alone somewhere.
