Hey everyone!

It seemed appropriate to add these to the thread...I made some alternate mixes of 'Don't Talk' and 'WIBN' a few months ago and uploaded them to youtube:

About 40 minutes ago I got Sloop John B stuck in my head. I heard the a cappella part in my head and over it I could hear the "Oooooh, yeah yeah!" part (heard at the end of the vocals only track). So, I felt like making a version with the "oooooh yeah yeah!" part overdubbing the A cappella bridge.....just edited it and uploaded it to youtube:

Dennis was absent. It´s Sterling Smith on the grand piano.

Thanks! The video was kind of blurry. I should have realized that he did not have a beard, and I believe Dennis was still sporting one at that time.

I edited together the vocal snippet and the strings from 'Don't Talk'....so it is just Brian's amazing harmony with his beautiful string arrangement. The quality is a little lacking (with the harmony) because I had to slow it down to fit the string arrangement. Other than that, I think it came out fine.

Very nice ! Would love to hear the complete song just with Brian's lead and the strings (or the parts where this is possible)

Thanks! I don't have the full string arrangement, just what was on the Pet Sounds boxset. But I'll make a version like that very soon (possibly today) with what's available.

That comes from the session Howie mentioned back in May.

I caught up with Don Was last night at the "Stones In Exile" premiere at the MOMA and he told me that he was recording with Brian last Monday (May 3rd). He didn't go into specifics, but when I threw out that he should connect with him as I thought that Brian's in need of an "outside" producer these days, he gladly offered up the info.
