Last night I had a dream that I was a touring member of the Beach Boys, the 2012 lineup (again). There was a weird forest area backstage that people kept going in and out of (myself included), Melinda yelled at me between every song, we performed "Lonely Sea" and Brian sang while walking around the stage making dramatic gestures, there are like five minute breaks between each song, I spent much of the dream frantically looking for a setlist, and I didn't see Al Jardine anywhere (slacker). Then I was woken up because I literally live on the loudest block in the United States of America >:(

What are YOUR Beach Boys dreams like? ^_^

A couple of weeks back I dreamt that I was at a Brian solo concert. I wasn't sitting in the audience. My seat was right by the side of the stage. At one point I shook Brian's hand and told him that it was "nice to meet you again" (I met Brian in real life back in 2009). Then at some point he began to sing Solar System. Neat dream!

I once had a dream that I met Mike, Al and Bruce at an airport which was also my apartment (funny how it all made sense to me when I was dreaming it).

My dreams...and they haven't happened for a LONG time because [except for gettin' together with Mike a few weeks back...and I never dream about Mike...] I'm just not running into the group anymore or hangin' backstage, or MC'in' their shows...were always about sittin' around in the backstage/dressing room areas...shootin' the breeze.  Then the dream[ s ] would morph into something else as they began to disjoint and fall apart into some kind of snooze-induced scene-jumping gobbledeegook.  [ That spelled right Mikie? ;) ]

I've had quite a few dreams about Brian - most of them having to do with him singing me songs at a piano...some of them original songs I have never heard before...how I wish I could remember what they sounded like :-D

I've got that going on as well. The songs are noteworthy, locked in the vaults and will most likely never be released. ;D

I dreamed the other night that I was back watching them make Feel Flows in the studio, and someone was playing the guitar part in the break, but on a keyboard, and I was getting frustrated because I knew it was a guitar.  I kept telling them, but no one listened.

Haven't had a Beach Boys dream.  When I was much younger I had a dream that Sammy Hagar invited me to Van Halen's home studio to listen to unreleased Van Halen songs.  It was so cool to actually hear completed songs in my dream only to wake up and realize that they don't exist which was really annoying because I could remember parts of them.

I found the one I was looking for.  I posted this like 6 years ago!

I also recall having a dream where I heard a cassette of a finished 1967 mix of Brian singing "I Wanna Be Around", that was simply amazing!

That part of the dream came true...as Brian got very ROUND there for awhile. ;)

A few months ago, I had a dream I went to see the Beach Boys.  The Beatles were the opening act.  Just before the concert, the entire sound system broke.  Instead of a concert, Paul McCartney just wandered around the aisles, greeting the audience and taking with people.  He was a nice guy.

A few years ago, I dreamed that I went to a swank hotel where Brian was staying. His family said it was up to me to get him ready for the show. I went to the room. When he saw me, he said "You finally got here!" and gave me a big hug. I got him downstairs to the pool so he could swim and get in shape for the show.

A few weeks later they announced C50. The world owes me.

I don't recall any dreams, but I do wish I was in back to the future and go back in time to save Dennis and Carl.

Last night I had a dream there were 2 separate articles in Time magazine:  one on Mike, one on Brian.  This turned into a press conference where Mike (solo) was playing a lot of songs on the piano (very well).  I definitely remember "School Days" and other familiar songs, but also some new Mike originals, including one called "Keen."  I thought, I'm no fan of Mike, but some of these rock.

Then it was on to the Brian portion.  Brian was sitting in a chair in his living room while one of his daughters (not Carnie or Wendy) stood and staged a conversation with him.  I think there was some unheard Smile music discovered and someone current (not VDP) was going to write lyrics to it.

A few years ago I dreamed I was singing "Heroes and Villains" with the original lineup.  I tried singing a harmony part but must have been off because Dennis shot me a look, so I quickly switched to the melody.

I bet the only time the Beatles could have been the Beach Boys opening act was 1963. Or in a dream at any time!

I had one last night where I was part of Brian's road crew and he and Darian and some other people were debating whether or not to cancel the night's show because Brian wasn't feeling good. Eventually he ended up sleeping in a room in my house, and I stood outside the door for a minute debating whether or not to go in and try and talk to him, but thought better of it.  :lol

I had one where there was a carnival somewhere in California near the shore, there was a procession and 'Wouldn't It Be Nice' and 1910 Fruitgum songs were playing, songs with organ.

A strange red-haired Marine Boy type with a ponytail was doing acrobatics on a huge red oil barrel on the back of a trailer in the procession while weird-phasing steelpan music was all around.

My only dream so far that I remember was in 2012, when I dreamt I watched a music video to "Isn't It Time" (album version, I think - no recording of the dream has surfaced :wink) on TV. At the beginning the 5 C50 BBs sat in rocking chairs in an old people's home, mocking themselves as old age people. They got livelier throughout the song and in the end danced with female inhabitants. Jeff Foskett and Darian S. played carers in the video. :o

Sorry, I didn't know the correct English term for the German "Altenpfleger", maybe I chose a bad translation when I looked it up. "Male nurses" maybe?

My parents used to work in an old people's home for 30 years, so the home in the video looked a lot like that one... 8)

I had a bizarre dream that Mike Love used a picture from this board during his live shows and gave a shout out to the SS board.  Then things took another twist when Brian joined the board! ;D

I had a dream that Al Jardine posted a long introductory post but it somehow got eaten when he hit ENTER and he was so discouraged he gave up and mended a fence instead. Pretty dull dream to be honest.

My dream was that a well-known BB collector (who was faceless in the dream and will be nameless here...) played me a surrepitiously-recorded videotape that proved it was none other than "Clean" Al Jardine who was in flagrante with the girl in that notorious studio session and had his orgasmic howls captured for use in the fade of "All I Want To Do"...guess he's gotta way with girls!!

Just last night, I had a dream that I was at an electronic music convention here in Houston. I was messing around with some stuff, when I hear someone behind me go 'hey kid that's pretty good'. Turn around, and there's Ray Lawlor with some younger dude with spiky hair. Ray asks me if I still produce or 'just f*** around'. I'm like, yeah, I still produce. Next thing I know he gives me a card with Brian's number and is like 'Brian's heard your stuff, man, and he wants you to call him, like right the hell now'. I start dialing...

and the motherfucking alarm clock wakes me up :lol

Last night I dreamed I was at an ex's place and when she went off to bed, the NPP televised special was on. It had several additional new songs from what we know, including with and without guests. Scott and Darian had a tune where they split leads. I heard all the music and it was great (which means I write like BW, right?).

They kept saying the album would be out next week.

Last night I had a dream that Brian Wilson posted on the Smiley Smile board. The air was fresh and clear and everybody on the board posted to tell Brian how much they loved him and how much his music has meant to them in their lives. Weird, right?

I had a dream about a year or so ago that I was walking down the street with someone and my tooth felt wobbly, I went to pull it out and my whole jaw came with it.  The other person said "get to a hospital now" so  all of a sudden we're at a dentist and I went to the counter and I was Carl and Dennis was with me. I stated that I needed an emergency visit (how I said this with no jaw, I don't know) and the receptionist said oh you are Carl Wilson!  Come right in.  When I woke I thought I meant I was going to get sick..  Freaky dream.

Also had a dream that Tom Cruise was a serial killer and he found out I knew and came after me. My dog turned into a human and saved me.  :)

I had a dream that I was rehearsing with the (WHOLE) group in my backyard. Carl was playing his Gibson 12 String, Al was playing his white Strat (Shocker, huh), Bruce was playing his Fender Precision Bass from the late 60's, Denny was playing drums, Blondie was playing his Les Paul, Ricky was just playing a tambourine, David Marks was playing a Fender Jaguar, Brian was sitting there not playing, and I was playing a Hammond Organ.
I have no idea, why every single Beach Boy would be in MY backyard rehearsing WITH ME, but it sure was a fun dream! We played "Aren't You Glad" and "Santa Ana Winds"

Last night I had a dream that I was talking with Chuck Britz, Carl Wilson, and Glen Campbell about the Today! sessions… Interesting dream.

I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I was in the back seat of a limo, sitting between Mike and Carl. The car stereo was playing the 2012 mix of Rock 'n Roll Music from Made in California. I asked if it was possible to remix 15 Big Ones to make it a better album. Carl responded with a curt and very quick "no", sounding more like he didn't want to deal with the subject than provide a factual answer.

None of my dreams about the BBs had anything to do with music.
Brian has popped up from time to time, mainly in 'cameo' roles. For example we'll sit down to dinner and he shows up - 'Hi Brian'- he eats, not saying a word, gets up to leave - bye Brian - then the dream continues.
Have had one Brian centric dream but it's rather involved.

I've actually had more dreams involving Al. The first and the funniest: it took place in 1968, and Al declared that he was fed up and didn't want to put up with it anymore. Don't know what he was upset about but in that year there was a lot of crazy stuff going on.
There was a grove of oak trees. Al decided to go up in one of them and not come down until the problem was solved. There were others who sympathized with him and proceeded to occupy the other trees. Don't know when he finally came down as I woke up.

I didn't think to revive thread coz I forget the dreams but I did see Brian ca. 1965-6 where he with Carl visit my school. They're my friends, even. Dunno what we talked, we just stood there for ages in the school yard. Absurd.

I had a dream one time where I was in a Studio I don't know if was Western 3 or not but, I sat in on some musicians recording the backing track to 409. It wasn't the boys like on the record, it was the Wrecking Crew. It was very interesting!   :lol

I used to have dreams that I had located holy grail unknown pieces and sections of Smile that were mind-blowingly terrific, variations and elaborations on what is already known but taking it to another more mystical and ethereal level. I always hear it in some circumstance or other (obscure bootleg, band or insider tape etc.) but then discover that I don't quite have it in my possession and its ultimate elusiveness has remained so, tantalizingly close but just out of reach.

Another goofy Al dream from the last couple of weeks.
A group of us got permission to see a concert for free, but we had to wear bands on our wrists. Al shows up, in his white suit, with a bunch of rubber bands in his hands. Guess some people cleaned out their desk drawers LOL to get the bands as they were all different colors, widths etc.
Al gave me some to hand out but in the exchange dropped a few. "Sorry about that" he said. I wanted to ask him about the Big Sur Wildfire but he had already moved on. I passed out bands then we were to get on buses to the concert. Woke up before finding out who we were to see.

I dreamed that Brian Wilson and I started a deep conversation at a party. It was great mingling with Brian. However, I was getting scared because I thought Melinda might be around.  So I withdrew myself from Brian even though I didn't really want to.  Then I woke up from the dream. 😳

I once had a dream that I was at an electronic music convention and ran into Brian there!
