1. Blue Christmas - Wonderful Brian vocal. A hidden gem.
2. Little Saint Nick - If this was the WAY superior single version, it would be #1 on the album. Still great though.
3. Merry Christmas Baby - NICE.
4. Auld Lang Syne - I might like the bonus track without Denny's talking over it, just the harmonies more, but I still do love his part.
5. I'll Be Home For Christmas - More wondrous harmonies. The harmonies are the star on top of the tree of this album. Or something.
6. White Christmas - Not as good as Darlene Love's but hey still awesome.
7. The Man With All The Toys - Interesting. Like it.
8. We Three Kings - Pretty stuff.
9. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - Fun tune all around.
10. Santa's Beard - Cool original.
11. Frosty The Snowman - An obvious choice. Dick Reynolds schmaltz + Four Freshmen-inspired honey = holiday fruitcake. But nice.
12. Christmas Day - It's okay. A little dull. Nice Al.
I don't listen to this album as much as I should. A shame; it's pretty good. Some of the group's best harmonies.

1. Little Saint Nick - 200 (10)
2. We Three Kings of Orient Are - 155 (2)
3. The Man with All the Toys - 142.5 (2)
4. Blue Christmas - 132 (3)
5. Merry Christmas, Baby - 126.5
6. I'll Be Home for Christmas - 115 (1)
7. Santa's Beard - 111.5
8. Christmas Day - 102.5
9. Frosty the Snowman - 92.5
10. White Christmas - 86
11. Auld Lang Syne - 79
12. Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town - 61.5
My thoughts? The lists seemed to have a lot of disagreement between whether the originals or the traditional covers were stronger. In the end it kind of worked itself out with a balance. No big objections with this one.

This album, along with Party, are the two 60s era BB albums I don't pay much attention to. However I enjoy some of it, even if I haven't like Christmas since I was 9 years old, lol.
1. The Man With All The Toys (although I prefer Brian's solo version from 2005)
2. Merry Christmas Baby
3. Little Saint Nick
4. Christmas Day
5. Santa's Beard
6. Auld Lang Syne
7. Blue Christmas
8. We Three Kings Of Orient Are
9. White Christmas
10. I'll Be Home For Christmas
11. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
12. Frosty The Snowman (why was this song included on Best Of BB Vol 3?
??)

Since it's now December, I'll rank the tracks on the Christmas album.
12. Auld Lang Syne - Nice harmonies before Denny's spoken word part. But, essentially a throwaway track.
11. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - A nice Christmas standard, somewhat marred by a bad Mike lead.
10. Frosty The Snowman - Nice harmonies, but I prefer Jimmy Durante on this one.
9. White Christmas - A good version of a great song.
8. I'll Be Home For Christmas - Great BB harmonies on this track.
7. Merry Christmas Baby - Nice upbeat song with sad lyrics. Not the last time Brian would do that.
6. Blue Christmas - Sorry Elvis, but this is my favorite version of this classic.
5. Santa's Beard - Another nice upbeat original, and a pretty funny story song.
4. We Three Kings - The Beach Boys take this track and make it their own.
3. The Man With All The Toys - A little short, but still a great song.
2. Christmas Day - I know a lot of people don't like this one, but I've always found it to be a most enjoyable track.
1. Little Saint Nick - Enduring Christmas classic.

Why sorry? He doesn't hear you anyway. Many people don't like Elvis, he's not above it. Nobody will say you have bad taste only bcuz you don't like Elvis' version. Big deal!
It's no big deal. I was just emphasizing how much I like The Beach Boys version.
I'm really not a fan of Elvis Presley, but I really like his version of Blue Christmas. Perhaps, I should've made it clear that I think Elvis's version of Blue Christmas is a holiday standard.

Me too! tho make it "not a fan at all". Gimme high-5!
& yeah, you should've made it clear, from your "Sorry Elvis" I took it you *don't* like his version.
I've always felt that Elvis gets too much credit for the birth of rock and roll. Guys like Bill Haley, Little Richard, Jerry Lewis, or Chuck Berry, among others, are more worthy of the title "King of Rock and Roll" IMO.
It's funny, with Christmas music, my tastes tend to bend a little further. I wouldn't normally listen to Elvis Presley, The Waitresses, Wham, etc etc, but that changes right after Thanksgiving. I used to put The Beach Boys in that list. As I was a big fan of The Beach Boys Xmas Christmas album long before I became a fan of The Beach Boys.

I agree with you regarding the King of R&R title. Elvis is not THE king. He left his mark in music history but so did others you mention. I don't know why people have to create these stupid titles - King, Queen, Diva, "pop princess". It is matter of individual taste. F.ex., I think the best rock'n'roller is Little Richard.
BBs Christmas album is one of my favorites to listen to even in the summer.
I can't remember who christened Elvis "The King" but it was a long time ago. I'll give him a little credit in that, if not for Elvis, there might not have been The Beatles.

But they didn't listen exclusively to Elvis.
No, not exclusively. But, from reading in interviews, Elvis (along with Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, etc) was very influential to The Fab Four.
Speaking of The Beatles, I always wonder what their attempt at a Christmas album would've been like.

"Very influential" is Buddy Holly. John even wore similar glasses & they covered "That'll Be the Day" & "Mailman" before the fame. They took after the Crickets' singer, rhythm guitar, bass & drum line-up.
I don't think they liked doing Christmas songs. Or they could of done the album. If you ask me, "Christmas Time Is Here Again" is dull.
Yeah, pretty obvious they threw that one together pretty quickly.
They would up doing better Christmas songs as solo artists. Especially John.

I like Ringo's the best but Paul's is very catchy. John's sounds like traditional rather than original Christmas song.
Ringo's album is pretty fun. Paul's song has suffered a bit from being overplayed every December.
John's is my favorite Xmas song of all time. I like the choir and Phil Spector's arrangement.

It's great, it sold, it's the bloody Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime", shut up...
It wouldn't be Christmas without it!

I have nothing against the song. And I do listen to do at least a couple times each Christmas season.
But, it recent years, I've just heard it too many times.
This year, I decided to not listen to the local FM Christmas station that plays the song at least 75 times a day during the Christmas season. That's really helping me like the song again.
