I love how nobody has objected to Prince being in the Top 10.

He's the second greatest songwriter of all time in my opinion.

6230  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: POB / Bambu on Amazon Best Sellers List on: June 17, 2008, 05:19:28 PM
I'm really moved by this.  Can you imagine how Dennis would feel if you told him, 31 years later, POB would be topping the Amazon chart?  I wonder if it'll make Billboard, and if so how high it will chart.

I guess he'd say, 'what's amazon'  Roll Eyes

I know Dennis' album is doing and will continue to do very well sales-wise, so hopefully we can see more of Dennis' music released, as well as 70s-era Beach Boys.  This is what the market wants ... keep it coming on vinyl too.  audiences are smarter and hipper than ever before, we don't need endless greatest hits packages anymore, we know the good stuff and we want more of it.  Pacific Ocean/Bambu sales will prove this

Well said

Carrots and all.

6237  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: How much can BW be expected to sell? on: June 09, 2008, 04:07:59 AM
I have no doubts TLOS will be as big as BWPS.

As Pvt. Gripweed said, it's most likely gonna shift 15-20,000 in it's first week and go on to be a steady seller like BWPS

6241  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Announcement posted - TLOS by Sept. 2nd! on: May 19, 2008, 07:06:28 AM
I can't believe we're getting both Pacific Ocean Blue AND That Lucky Old Sun this year! The past 5 years have been such an exciting time to be a Brian Wilson fan.

Yeah, there has been this beautiful revival of his and BB music
6242  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Announcement posted - TLOS by Sept. 2nd! on: May 19, 2008, 05:25:58 AM
I like the title for the news on smiley smile news, 'those lucky old fans' haha.

Anyway this is great news,

Thank you Brian, and Melinda I guess  Grin
6243  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: BW to Make Global Announcements at Capitol Records Monday on: May 18, 2008, 06:52:52 AM
Is it plausible that Brian might tour the POB album? I mean, he DID record a version of Carl's "Heaven", seemingly totally out of the blue.

That would be one of the coolest things any musician has ever pulled off if they had Brian tour his deceased brother's unreleased final album.  Man, talk about adding to the "amazing things Brian Wilson did" legend.

Maybe if POB/Bambu was being released on Capitol...but it isn't...

There loss..
6244  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: BW to Make Global Announcements at Capitol Records Monday on: May 16, 2008, 02:19:38 PM
It's either going to be......

1) A BB Reunion

Or

2) Brian has resigned to Capitol and TLOS will be released sometime soon..
6245  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Pacific Ocean Blue - Review + more news on: May 07, 2008, 05:09:41 AM
Not a big Queen fan at all.

But what's does that matter, were getting POB and that's ALL that matters

Being married to an egomaniac isn't exactly a stroll through the park. I'm surprised he found that many who said "I will".

Money talks.

Mike Love Walks.
6248  Smiley Smile Stuff / The Beach Boys Media / Re: The *official* Brian/BB picture thread on: April 27, 2008, 04:36:37 PM
David is cooler in this pic because he's got more talent than Mike

Thought you had more sense than that  Cool
6249  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Beach Boy Divorce Settlements on: April 27, 2008, 04:32:56 PM

I'm pretty sure he's rich.

Never doubted it..

Having you're name to at least 10 beach boys songs alone would make you rich lol
6250  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Beach Boy Divorce Settlements on: April 27, 2008, 12:50:06 PM
'Tis true.

Hmm considering the beach boys revival in the last 10 years or so, I'm assuming he's rich again right??
