Shortenin' Bread
I never had any real issues with Sumahama. The rest of the remaining tunes are at times first rate and pleasant/inoffensive at worst. I see more than ever what a good album L.A. might have been.

I don't get all the disses on "Shortnin' Bread" -- that's my no. 1 BB guilty pleasure.

Shortenin' Bread
I really recommend giving Full Sail another listen. For me it was one of those songs that just clicked one day and that I've loved ever since.
For me, it's the bgv's in the chorus that got me hooked. And yeah, Shortenin' Bread is my vote.

Two songs left that are not so good... One's silly (but fun), one's just boring. So that makes it kind of easy:
Full Sail.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Your vote was too cryptic or clever for me so it wasn't counted. Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
Welcome back to a new round of BEACH BOYS SURVIVOR. Remember to be respectful of others opinions. Please don't spam the thread with too much opinionating (a little is ok ).... and without further ado... L.A. (Light Album) is the twenty-third studio album by The Beach Boys, released on March 19, 1979. Produced by Bruce Johnston, James William Guercio and the band itself, the album was The Beach Boys' first on CBS Records, and the first to feature contributions from Johnston since his departure from the band in 1972. Johnston was brought in when it became clear that the ailing Brian Wilson was in no fit state to produce the album, and has remained in the band ever since. Shortnin' Bread was sure not short on votes! (19 votes) As usual vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes gets voted off. Tally on April 3rd Good Timin' Lady Lynda Full Sail Angel Come Home Love Surrounds Me Baby Blue Round#1 - Here Comes the Night March 28 Round#2 - Sumahama March 30 Round#3 - Goin' South April 1 Round#4 - Shortenin' Bread April 3 Full Sail is the other SUPER BORING song on this album. Snooozzzzzzzzzzzzeeeeee.
