I'm led to believe that the vocals quoted in the 2fer booklet are in fact for the version re-recorded after the sale of Sea Of Tunes.

Doesn't it say that in the Peter Carlin book?
I've always thought so, personally.  The Brian of 1968 knew that song was supposed to be an instrumental.
