Beach Boys "In My Room" Live 1964 (Reelin' In The Years Archives)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV-dWhYklqE
Beautiful! The description says:
"This amazing live clip of the Beach Boys in 1964 comes from our newest archive The Red Skelton Hour. In addition to this clip we more wonderful footage of the Beach Boys from 1963 when original guitarist David Marks was still with the group through the seminal Pet Sounds era and on into the 1970s."

The Reelin In The Years British Invasion documentary videos are top notch -- I have the whole set (Small Faces, Hermans Hermits, Gerry and Pacemakers, Dusty Springfield) plus the Hollies DVD.
A Beach Boys release by them would be welcome indeed.

Cool. David Marks on this one.

They have the whole Red Skelton Show catalog of music videos, looks like most of it
is lip-synched but still fun to watch.

I have a lot more respect for Bruce after watching this thing....
Everyone else seems to strictly adhere to the David Leaf/Ames Carlin script and then there's Bruce (who was there) articulately providing an educated alternate opinion while not forcing the issue or self aggrandizing.

I just hit up their website and they have this video listed: "Beach Boys Surfin\' USA 1963-09-24". I wonder if it features Brian, Carl, Dennis, Mike, Al AND David. That'd be some great footage for dispelling the myth that David was a replacement for Al and vice-versa. I don't think I've even seen a photo with those six guys together, let alone a video.
Anyway, here's a little music video I made for "Time to Get Alone" using An American Band footage and some photos of the era in which "Time to Get Alone" was worked on. It's also somewhat of a unique version of the song, I tacked on Hawthorne's a capella ending to the Summer Love Songs mix. Enjoy!

I thought I posted this before but I guess not. I started my own "video cast," doing reviews of my collection of beach boys albums, records, magazines, books, DVDs, and random merch I've collected over the past yen years. I know the quality sucks, I've filmed it on my iPhone and I've not filmed anything before, you can prolly tell. But I'm really just wanting to document my collection, so in case I forget all this junk, I'll have a reminder. Lastly, if what I say us incorrect, let me know!

(P.S. You might wanna crank up the image quality, though. If possible. I could hardly decipher tracklists and stuff.)

"Probyn Gregory - Multi-Instrumentalist Extraordinare, Debonaire, and Savoir Faire - visits with Caroline-up during the European 2012 Beach Boys Reunion Tour 'Celebration' in Mönchengladbach, Germany at the Warsteiner Hockey Arena. And damn if that boy is not charming as all git! (As in guitar)"
