I just found another interesting cover from the 1960s... this time it's piano stylist Floyd Cramer's version of "Good Vibrations".  This instrumental version sounds almost like some long-lost outtake!  Somebody must have a had a really sharp ear to catch all the details buried in the original mono vesion.  Check it out!

And for those who missed it, I previously posted this interesting lounge version of Heroes and Villains:

If you're talking about tomorrows date, I might just log off for the day. It's not worth it  Grin

Floyd Kramer is an ace piano player, if only for On The Rebound which my dad was obsessed with when I was growing up, for some reason.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Fun!  Tho not up to Carmen McRae standards, of course.
I imagine there are lots of lesser known covers out there. I kinda like the Bakersfield Boogie Boys rendition of  IGA( rumored to be Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam)
