I now have all the 2012 remasters except Sunflower and Surfs Up. I bought them mainly for the mono.
I would buy the 2 70's albums if I thought there was a significant difference in the new remastering.
Has anyone got these, I would appreciate your comments.

I highly recommend Sunflower.  It sounds much cleaner and distinct than the twofer.  It's my understanding that they used a better master for it.  I don't have Surf's Up, but I assume it's similar in quality.

On the Hallmark label? Curious.

Notable that over the last 12 months multiple remastered versions of the album have been available for download on amazon uk; wonder if this is related or whether it's an anniversary thing or what.

It is because the album is out of copyright in Europe.

The new mastering of Sunflower is a mixed bag to me. Some of the tracks (Slip On Through, This Whole World, Add Some Music, Tears, All I Wanna Do, Our Sweet Love, At My Window) have an incredibly shrieky and brittle high end while the others have a more natural sound. It's just a mess.

You'd probably be better off throwing your money in the sewer.

auto-tune, what auto-tune, I don't hear any auto-tune. Can you show me a graph with a little jaggedy line on it?

I loved how they replaced all the Hal Blaine drumming with pristine digital drumming by Chad Wackerman!

Slowly getting used to the new, more positive "Til I Die" lyrics on the Surf's Up remaster.

Al's new resyncopated lead vocal on Help Me Rhonda from the Summer Days remaster is out of sight!

THe orchestrated second movement in Surf's Up is a bit of an anticlimax…

The newly added drum beats really add a lot to the overall sound of Smiley Smile. Makes it sound less like a stoner record, which is nice!

And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.

You guys pointed out a lot of the interesting things about these remasters (autotune, etc.) but everyone keeps overlooking the elephant in the room: this is yet another example of a BB-related release that neglects to give Zeppo Wilson his due!!!!!   Angry Wall Angry Wall

I loved how they replaced all the Hal Blaine drumming with pristine digital drumming by Chad Wackerman!

It was especially thoughtful of them to bring in Taylor Hawkins to re-do the drum parts originally played by Dennis on Today/Summer Days.

Bringing in AGD to "sweeten" Brian's vocal on I'm Bugged At My Old Man was completely pointless...

OSD's rap part on Summer Means New Love is awesome though!
