Well the point of this thread is about actual rankings according to music players not people's favourites.

Going by my ipod, Isn't It Time is actually my most played Beach Boys song at 32 plays.  Help Me, Rhonda (single version) is 2nd at 28.

Ok, I guess I'm not understanding the relevance of listening to Beach Boys music on the computer when there are sooooo many other ways to enjoy it.  (Vinyl, cds, in the car, on the home theater system, etc.)

Well, this isn't wholly accurate since I play vinyl mostly, so my digital collection is weighted by drumming songs, digital only tracks and TWGMTR [pre Vinyl release]. Hence why my list is dominated by TWGMTR at the top. I also tend to play albums rather than single tracks but regardless, here is the list:

Could this strangeness be accounted for by having fewer versions of these songs than, say, your actual favorite tracks?  I know I only have two versions of "All Summer Long" while I have probably 5+ versions of some of my favorites, like "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "Surf's Up".  You pickin' up what I'm throwin' down?

Well first off I'll start by saying I've only had this computer since like early 2012, so if I were to go back to when I started using iTunes, it surely would be a lot different. But anyways, out of my top 10 most played songs Beach Boys songs, here's the list, where they ranked and then how many plays in parenthesis.

My god..... now people need a computer program to tell them which song they're listening to the most!!! This is whilst they walk along wearing those stupid, mongy big headphones and those horrible skin-tight yellow trousers, not looking where they're going because they're too busy prodding away on their  "smart" phones with a slack jawed expression on their faces.

I wear big flappy flares and listen to albums all the way through, and when I go out I only move for old people, disabled people, those with prams and / or heavy shopping. My thread trolling is also purely old skool. Wham, bam, and I'm off over to Youtube to spread some more grammatically correct hate.

Freddie, you have a rare vocal gift, and should never sit in silence.  Personally I value my contemplative moments.

I don't use Windows Media Player, but I'm pretty sure I've played Funky Pretty the most, followed by the Brian demo Lazy Lizzie.

This represents the stats on one year-old computer, just counting iTunes and not plays from physical CDs.

"Barbara Ann" is my all-time most played BB song. Why? Simple----it's the only BB 45 I've ever owned.   

Without a doubt, the released (and unreleased) mono and stereo versions, much of the unreleased tracking sessions, and all of the live versions of Good Vibrations I can find. I believe I've heard most of everything to do with the recording of the song (by The Beach Boys) except for the vocals-only sessions, which I'm not holding out hope for before I check out.

For awhile there, I was playing the song as much as Brian Wilson was playing Be My Baby on his jukebox.  No kidding.

In my top 20 most played songs, I have six songs from That's Why God Made the Radio, eight songs from my personal version of Smile, plus "I Went to Sleep," "The Warmth of the Sun," "'Til I Die," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "You Still Believe In Me," and oddly enough, "In The Parkin' Lot."
