Don't know if Al has posted this anywhere himself, but I heard him on the radio last night, plugging that he will be hosting 100.3 The Sound L.A. My Turn show this coming Sunday nite. You can listen on line if you're not in L.A.; the station doesn't mention him yet, but you can see the playlists of the last couple of guest dj's

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Given that Alan's playing a concert in Raleigh, NC on the same day, would it be safe to assume this show's been prerecorded?

Thrilled that I am able to listen in the U.K (even if it does mean staying up until 00:00) I'm expecting a folk variation of Slash's fantastic show on BBC Radio 2 which has introduced me to some fantastic stuff! Edit: So this is in PST.. maybe I'll be able to catch it at another point

Currently playing "Don't Fight the Sea". Before that it was Abracadabra by Steve Miller.
Not sure what was before that.

The single version of Help...me Rhonda followed directly by the version from Al's solo album.
EDIT: from what i briefly heard, The Beach Boys are making a music video for Don't Fight The Sea?
EDIT 2: the word filter makes it difficult to mention a certain song

Nothing but deep cuts from Al Jardine tonight.... "The last one was the clash - rock the casbash, don't really know why I picked that song but I hope you liked it" He picked it to show off his punk rock/new wave knowledge. I didn't listen to the show, but saw the playlist on the station website. Al is very into John Fogerty, he even included another band covering a Fogerty song.

Please tell me it was Hanoi Rocks' cover of 'Up Around The Bend'
